@nanthony777 how about the 1985 Toyata Supra?The engine received a redesigned throttle position sensor (TPS) as well as a new EGR system and knock sensor.With the slight increase in power the Supra was able to propel itself from 0–60 mph in 8.4 seconds and netting a 16.1 second quarter mile at 85 mph (137 km/h).

Uncertain if that would match the Delorean or not but after all it is a Toyata. The time Marty lost starting the engine could've been saved had it been a Toyata. Perhaps in a remake.

I FORESEE ONE POSSIBILITY. THE ENCOUNTER COULD CREATE A TIME PARADOX, THE RESULTS OF WHICH COULD CAUSE A CHAIN REACTION THAT COULD UNRAVEL THE VERY FABRIC OF THE SPACE TIME CONTINUUM AND DESTROY THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE!!! Granted that's a worst case scenario. The destruction might be limited to our own galexy.

I coulda see the movie actually have this happen and then it cuts to 1985 pretty much like the movie actually did, and the "dead" Doc Brown gets back up and pulls his suit back to reveal his bullet proof vest and call for his heretofore hidden assistant to come out of the truck, and out walks an aged Marty McFly.

He helped Doc build the Delorean all along but had stayed hidden to prevent interrupting his younger self from going back (And Thus preventing a paradox.).

What would have been better is if you had Doc keep walking to the empty road as Marty tries to start the car than just as Doc goes to dance and cheer the car finally stops and Marty accidently runs into Doc.
