Wow, the second goal is great from the USA. Nice passing and movement, especially when you consider how narrow that field is. I just wonder if we should play that same kind of 4-3-3 a bit more, maybe even in a 4-2-3-1 sort of style. We can still make it tough to play through the middle on defense with more numbers in central midfield while we're stretching the field. The USA always seems to score when in more of a 4-2-3-1 shape with somebody stretching the defense.

I remember this; this was the last of the good form from Beasley. They played great; with the way this team was playing I think it could have beat about anybody with Lando, because they went Undefeated in the Gold Cup the following month. Gooch was playing great, Feilhaber was lights out, Donovan was becoming world class, Boca still had speed, Timmy's coming out party in my mind, and a very solid midfield, very underrated.

I'd rather see the Women's U.S. Soccer Team face China!

If it was the Women playing China, you know that it would definately be a Game! Do we still remember how Our Ladies beat the Chinese Women, and Sun Wen, for the World Cup Championships back in 1991, and 1999, when we had Mia Hamm, Joy Fawcett and Michelle Akers?

Oh, and also, let's not forget Brandi Chastain, and her winning Penalty Kick that brought Our American Women the 1999 World Cup.

I wouldn't exactly say that. In their own gender yes the Women are better. They show great organization and are clearly among the top teams in the world in their own gender. However I don't think they could take on the Mens side but hey, maybe there could be a yearly InterGender Cup game or something like that.

I saw this game in China on Chinese Television. The commentators were talking like the USA team is weak and that China is at the same level or better. I guess they got their answer! Great Victory USA!

Come on man, Feilhaber is definately an incredible player but he is not the best in the US. I wouldnt even say he's top 5 (but if not then he's definitely number 6)

Yes, MLS is much better than people give it credit for. This is evidenced by the progress of the U.S. national team, and CONCACAF in general.

i'd say the best team in the MLS also has the atmoshere like a english club is Seattle Sounders FC.

Alright, but the best player in the US team is Brazilian (Benny Feilhaber). It's amazing how many Brazilian players keep playing for other national teams since they know they will never have a chance playing for the Brazilian team (as Deco in Portugal's national team).

He did not grow up in Brazil. He was born there, grew up in California, and even was offered to play for Austria.  He is AMERICAN.

deco went to portugal at like 19, feilhaber moved to the US at 6. Big difference!

Feilhaber has lived in California since he was about 5 or 6 years old. He turned down Austria as he was eligible to play for them because that's where his dad is from because he feels like an American.

he's not just Brazilian. he has Israeli and Austrian descent also. but most national teams are like that. France's national team is mostly from African and South American colonies(Thierry Henry, Florient Malouda, etc.)
