I dont care if the iphone is faster. I just love my BB Curve 8530... The form factor is perfect. Seems more masculine too. The iphone is amazing for media but the BB just feels more like a business tool..which I like. But to each his own.

saw another compare test on their browsing speed, the bold one...soo.....makes no difference. At&t and Verizon they tested with. Both phones are good, i had the iphone for a bit and got bored, just got a bold, LOVE it, see how long the love lasts...

I own both devices. Safari browser kicks the pants off Blackberry. However, if you write and send more than ten emails per day, you will want the Bold. If you're more of a browser, you will want the iPhone; more emails you will want the Bold/Curve.

my sister has the blackberry and I have the iphone.

Both are really nice but the iphone seemed to be faster and more user friendly. The BB seemed better for business which is what it was originally for.

It's sort of hard to compare the two phones unless it comes down to speed isn't it? after all both phones were made targeting different interests.

my mom has a blackberry bold. i have iphone 3g. i like the iphone 3g better. to me it is more user friendly, it is harder to upload videos on a blackberry. i have a mac and i still don't know how to sync a blackberry to a mac. and i like the web browser on the iphone. the iphone can do anything the blackberry does. but i admit wish the iphone had the option of a qwerty keyboard too.

you can download the meebo app for iphone. it has msn capabilities as well as aim, yim, etc. it's a program for ALL of your instant messaging networks piled into one easy program. i don't have an iphone, but i'm also stuck between iphone and bold.

so what are you saying?? you cant do text and mail on the iPhone? get real! if you want JUST games internet and 'stuffs' go for and ipod touch or an ipod 5th gen video. Texting is very easy and the iphone has microsoft exchange support so mail can be pushed from your company's server to ur phone.

hi guys, i'm from croatia, i'm a bold user and i'm soon going to become a iphone user. i'm satisfied with bold, but i have problems with my wifi at home, when i connect on it, it works for about 2,3 minutes then it disconnects, the router is speedtouch and its working perfectly for my laptop and others when they come with their mobile phones...i posted my problem on crackberry and everywhere, no one had a solution, maybe you guys here can help...thank you...mw croatia

You should check into something called skyfire.

It is straight up, what you see on your computer, is what you see on your phone. Plays java(youtube 100%)

Its not supporting blackberry yet but keep checking it out.

Right now its supporting windows 5&6.

I bought the Blackberry Curve 8900 and I don't really browse on it cause it's such a small screen, and when I do need to bowse the web I use Opera Mobile which is much better than the Blackberry Browser, though Opera Mobile has an unfair advantage because of the way Opera's servers re-format the page. Safari Mobile is of course to my point of view the best mobile web browser out there, until Mozilla can come up with something.

Completely pointless test. You can run Opera Mini on the Blackberry but not on the iPhone. I think you'd have VERY different results if you didn't use Blackberry's native browser (which is slow and everybody knows it without the need for this video)

Keep in mind that this isn't even a fair review. Why? Because currently, the iPhone is on AT&T's 3G network while the only Blackberry Bolds that are even available are completely unlocked from Rogers which means that the Bold is merely running on a faulty and slower network (ie. not the network the iPhone is running on). Also, the reason for the delayed release of the BB is because of a OS and firmware problem. Once all of these issues have been carefully addressed, the BB will be better IMO.

The different is so tiny and minute, it not even a worth comparing. Instead of browser speed, a comparison should be done on which mobile user can type and text the fastest, or who can copy and paste text from a webpage to a email/text message, or who can watch Flash videos on other site beside youtube. The BB Bold wins in all those categories. And now that I can sync my iTunes music to the bold, the iPhone just seems like a pretty toy without true substance.
