Why so many women don't look like women at the EGM? How come no one check to confirm that they are women? Even at Olympics, if they are not sure, they don't just ask for i/c. They bring them to the toilet to check. How come not done at EGM? Then, how can we say result is fair?

a malay muslim lady(pink headscarf) said she is not comfortable with all chinese and christians in Aware. i also find muslim wearing headscarf , not comfortable, when i am taking a MRT train and a headscarf enter the cabin , i also uncomfortable. When a teacher wearing headscarf teaching young students maths, english in a secular public schools , i also uncomfortable.
Although Pearl Forss could have reported in a more 'objective' manner, it is reasonable for her to take a firm stand with such tonality against forces that will undermine the stability of Singapore's racial harmony. It has little to do with taking sides like a football match.
Therefore, we should never be neutral about fundamentalist organizations trying to assert their authority over the whole nation that lays the precedent for a highly polarized and divided society.

I have to agree with some comments I read elsewhere that Pearl could have reported this in a more objective manner. It is obvious, from the way she spoke, where her support lies.
The EGM is amazing. After looking at many of the women who came in support of the old guard, the one question that comes to my mind is: "Are they women?" Someone should have verified that before allowing them to vote. To me, the result of the vote is null and void
I do not know if that's on their agenda, but from what's been happening, it is witnessed that they have been imposing their religious norms on the constitution of our nation.
