Nah man that snakes about months old, they don't give birth till around August -October. I caught one just yesterday smaller than yours if you can believe it. We have an infestation of common and eastern garters round this area. One of the only times I use the word "infestation" and don't mind it lol. Have noticed allot less baby toads around though, they seem to gobble em up.
My Garter snake is, believe it or not, even tinier. And he refuses to eat anything I offer her. I feel so helpless! I mean, I want him to thrive, but he won't eat. But he doesn't even try to strike at me, he's never even opened his mouth up like that. =]
I thought that too, but its tail was less than 1/4 of its body length and it looked like there was a checkered pattern, but i couldn't really see that in the pictures.

I am going to have to go out on a limb here, and say this is an Eastern Ribbon snake (Thamnophis sauritus sauritus)..
99.8% positive.

Yeah, Its really hard to tell the difference seeing as they are both from the Thamnophis genus.
Regardless, Nice find. I love to see herping videos.
