I think it's a highlight of how much the technical regs have been destroyed in F1. It probably did not take much changes by Brawn to switch from the Honda engine to the Mercedes in terms of engine size and weight. No matter what name is on it, all the engines in F1 now are basically identical. Just listen to the cars as they driver by, there's barely any difference in exhaust note at all.
the car was designed last year while the 2008 season was still on the way and it was suppose to fit a honda engine. but after brawn became manager of the team they changed the powerhouse to mercedes for higher reliability and power
Can I have that engine so I can put it in my car?

This engine is a walkover in the series. The Maclaren looks like a dog, poor Lewis.

Great, so what is the displacement of the CC ? and ratio power to liter?
NoxNoctisUmbra 2 years ago
All F1 engines are V-8's at 90 degrees. They all displace 2,4 litres and have a power/litre ratio of about 312.5 BHP/Litre

Thanks man, I was thinking around 2.5 liters, so i was close.
312.5 bhp/liter, that is very very impressive, most sports cars on roads without any turbos can berry do 100 HP / Litter.

So did the Mercedes win this honor by default...since Honda dropped out of Formula 1?
