I'm confused. I thought "NW" in M.A.C. cosmetics meant "cool" and "NC" meant warm. That never made any sense to me but it was explained to me that way. Can you please clarify for me? Thanks

NW is Warm and NC is cool- not to sound condescending its pretty self explanetary with the initials. That said I'm still learning about the artist colour wheel & the complementary colours & what colour/type of concealer to use on which part of the face depending on if its a dry area of more oily area. (Sighs) it used to be so easy, one concealer to do it all DAMN YOU MAC!!!

mac breaks me out I would never use it again for my pimples :(

Alot of people don't like Mac for that reason because "it breaks them out". I would just listen to what she says a little goes a long way and make sure that if you have very oily skin wash it off before you sleep and re-wash your face in the morning before aplying your make-up. Also if you use the pads that are come with the powder use them for a week, trash it and use a new one. This is what makes the make powder have that oily look and might also be the problem why you break out. Best of luck!

I have a skin care regimen that is absolutely clean! wash and prep my skin before makeup, never sleep with makeup on at all, and the morning after I leave it squeaky clean. I always replace my sponges periodically, even my pillow cases every other day and there are makeups that won't leave my chin full of pimples nor my nose straberry-like,  blackheady like mac does.. too graphic LOL

Maybe your putting on too much of Mac's make-up. I have used Mac since I started to wear make-up and noting like that has happened. There was a time when I had to change my pad for make-up daily. Other then that I was fine. Too bad you can't use it! ILOVEIT!!! What kind of make did you use?? liquid, powder or mixed comb.

i think what she meant was if you have dark circles, and pick a very light shade of concealer, then dark + white = grey?

not entirely sure but thats what i got. so if you pick a concealer with a tan tone, dark + tan dont equal grey... i think :S

MAC brush number 222 is the best blending brush! Swear it will take whatever make up you have put on your eyes look ten times better!

NC is neutral cool and NW is neutral warm. so, yes, nw are warm colors.
