Elizabeth I is a passion of mine so when I saw this I had to watch. Yes, there are half-truths yet the one part that I enjoyed seeing the most was the relationship between Elizabeth & Queen Katherine Parr. While there is not a lot of evidence supporting it I feel that Parr was the mother figure Elizabeth never had. I think she taught Elizabeth a great deal, including how best to appear subservient, while truly not. Thanks for sharing this! I enjoyed it greatly!

I really love the book this is based on and am kind of mad at this 'movie', though I'm glad I watched it. The only believable actor in it was Jennifer Wigmore who played Queen Cathrine Parr, and even she wasn't all that great. They got Mary all wrong! I don't even LIKE Mary Tudor and I feel bad about her being thought of in this way.

@Jamestopboy actually, if you compare her reign to those of other monarchs during that time period she wasn't that much worse than anyone else. She's still a far cry from sainthood though, and Elizabeth was defiantly the better queen.
