  • J'adore ce classique de la musique cajun. Je le reprends aussi

  • I think that I am related to almost everyone in the Opelousas, Scott, Lafayette, and Grand Cateau area.

Love Acadian music. Love my heritage.

  • I'm sorry but that sounds awful! Watch my cajun music video of me playing a song on the piano

  • you know i watched this video many times before i met up with you and not watching it again i can see that its you...cant wait to meet up with ya again this spring.

  • Merci beaucoup! I was born in Opelousas, La and remember my grandmother singing this song while rocking in her rocking chair. Her name was Eve Hebert Doucet. I am so glad I can show your video to my children! Where are you from? Again, thanks so much!

  • Thanks for the kind comments Kristin. I am from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.

  • How Ya'll are? Great music, plus a lesson in the French language.

  • nice job on the song and nice accordion as well.

looks a bit bigger than the traditional Cajun accordion? Nice sound to it as well.

  • I'm so glad I found this video!

A new friend of mine, Big Nick, from Big Nick & the Cydecos, suggested I learn to play J'ai passé devant ta porte as a new beginning Cajun accordion player.

Watching this video is really helping me.

    Nice playing!

  • I'm glad to hear that Cher. Let me know if you need anything. Cheers.

  • wait i thought j'ai means i have.. wouldn't it be je instead of j'ai..

*ahem* anyway.. yea you play pretty good ^_^

  • Brittney, you need to brush up your French ha ha! J'ai can be translated as "I have" which can be used both in present or in past participle. Thanks for the feedback anyway. :-)

  • XD lol i realized that after i commented. umm.. yea i just started taking french...

  • Lâche-pas la patate! :-)

  • A thumbs up here too.

I play(ed) so badly that when I would attempt this one I would drift off into Menard's "Beneath a Green Oak Tree."

  • Awesome sounds great!!!

  • Maz, This is very good and appreciate your posting here.

    Please do more... Ed

  • Pas pire mon gars! the only thing is that the sound is kind of screwy, maybe it's just my computer..

  • Great playing, Maz! Hope you do more videos.

  • Thanks Chad. My intention is to post more clips of other cajun songs, and perhaps post the slow motion version as well. Your constructive feedback is always very welcome. Maz
