I can't believe u guys.Let's get a few things sr8,Nelly is classed as Latin,coz shez ethnically portuguese.And her aparently now husband is also latin coz hez cuban(sorry dude,itz true).Nelly is 1 of the most open minded people i've seen,n i'm sure his race don't come into it,and if he was darker she wouldn't care,in fact i know.Actually her x bf was half indian and half fillapino so it's kinda proof.Can we all just accept eachover now for the person rather than skin colours

i like her natural look in the Do It vid. that vid's been no. 1 for 5 dys so far on trl. the hair color she has right now drowns out her natural beautiful features. it's weird but that color makes her look much older too. i like her natural hair color, it suits her. oh and like other people, i also think saukrates is probably really cool so hate all you want, tubeit0 and chomskyfan11. i doubt he and timbo and calle 13 are horrible gangstas.

don't make nelly out like she thinks the way you do cuz i'm not having it. another thing, on more than 1 occasion last nov./dec. and in a youtube vid called "Santa Slam 2006 Nelly Furtado Interview" she said, no she's too busy being a mom and working, when the host basically said nelly couldn't be dating anybody. so I doubt she's mindlessly about to get married to whoever u said. she clears up that she didn't do the music she did just cuz it's really hot now. people like you should see that vid.

Her childs name is snow? Good! Her child must have snow white skin so she must of found it important to celebrate that. The kiddie will righty learn that being named snow means celebrating the extra specialness of being almost white like snow. UM 4 ur info no-one at all would want to name any child coal. Coal equals dark and evil but snow equals white and pure. Nely with Blonde hair--good choice! Nelly with white looking dude--another ideal choice. Best ideals to learn by 4 a kid.

Cont'd. 1)Nelly's allegedly engaged. She didn't say so but if she is then it was a quick decision in a divorced filled world. She didn't even get engage to her LONG TIME ex-boyfriend. 2)She gave her kid a name that means Snow in english. Snow is white. Would she name any kid Coal for black. I think not. 3)Now she dyes her hair off-blond but sings "paint me over with your dreams, shove away my ethnicity" in Powerless. I get it now when Ex fans & Fans say don't take her at her word anymore.

i'd like to believe that the people whose music I buy don't judge anybody's worth by their skin shade cuz that would be a letdown for how music can bring people together in different ways than just be a better money profit machine.

i'm not psychic but is it not possible that nelly and fergie and some popstars to be genuine friends with nice rappers without it being about using them to pretend they're diverse and open minded. isn't also possible that girls who date and 'have intercourse' as you said with black men and 'brown Latinos' to actually be in love with them without it being about buying a message that these guys are only ok for the sake of using til the girl's ready for someone a part of society sees as better?

Except for music stuff and hanging out, wtf what would Nelly want with seriously dating the brown Latinos or the black dudes? Posing with a gangsta gives her instant publicity. Same with Fergie and other pop-stars. It boosts profits and sends a message to impressionable preteens that it's ok to have intercourse with older black men just for the sake of it. This skews the morals of naive youths and results in teen pregnancy, STDs, and broken families. The lyrics and images say it quite clear with Nelly's "promiscuous girl". It's a destructive trend disguised as diversity in the media.

Yah those pop stars are playing pretend alot. They probly don't even listen to much rap. I might come off as a racist but at least I don't pretend I see everyone equally like they pretend. For those who wanted to know if Saukrates is of South American heritage, well he is. I know because I saw Nelly Furtado's MTV Diary of her saying he is Guyanese. Guyana is in South America right beside Brasil and Venezuela. The majority of the Guyana's population are of East Indian, African, Portuguese, AmerIndian, or Chinese heritage and many, many Guyanese are mixed with 2 or more of those heritages. That's all. Hey let's all make Nelly's "do it" number 1!
