Tommy Steele chose the acting stuf, but he was and is a true rockabilly. go talk to him and tell me otherwise. he loved his acting and musicals etc, but , antone who knows him |MUST know he's rockabilly thru and thru
If there wasn't mainstream rock & roll back in the later 50's, only the rockabilly sound, which is new to me by the way, then this would of been the replacement for alley oop. by the way i do enjoy most of this rockabilly but apparently where in the world was it being played at the time? and thanks to you senders and youtube for posting all this new rock & roll to me cause that's what it would be classified as...it's certainly hasn't got a country twang to it..thanks
Me too rexasffron, my parents bought it for me when I was 11 and I played it over and over. My copy is in the back of the cupboard now too precious to handle and it will probably go in the Coffin with me!!!!
Like how the 78 is from Canada. They always picked up on the uk stuff long before us in America did.

I see he's credited as 'Tommy Steel' here, without the extra 'e'.
