  • whats the best program to use the trigger finger on (for MAC)

  • @TheWeedPuffers Ableton.

  • flying lotus uses this.

  • Can you use the M-Audio Trigger Finger during a dj set?

With the mixing equipment as well of course.

  • @sagaloooo of course you can, it's pretty much made for it.

  • are you guys fucking kidding?

do the research there are literally a thousand other mpcs that do the same shit

some even come with programs that create the music you assign to the pads -__-

  • why the fuck would they discontinue this when all these popular producers use it and make people want to buy it!?

  • @crackajacksta

Because there are millions of other products that do the exact same thing., with just a different feel.

  • Dear Santa....

  • can u make a beat no that thing then make the beat replay over and over? Tell me how plzzzz!!!

  • @DropDead2k I don't understand your question.. If you're asking if you can make a beat on it, no you can't, it only plays sounds that are assigned to it. But if you're asking if you can replay a beat over and over, sure you can.

  • @RastaPasta808 u low

  • does this work on Windows 7?

  • @xXFind815Xx yes

  • Does anyone know hardware very similar because the trigger finger is discontinued

  • where can i get a trigger finger???!!!..ive been looking for one all over

  • @96whitels and because i make dubstep too

  • @96whitels

thats exactly why i searched it x'D

  • @96whitels I love you

  • How would you go about using this in a live set like skrillex?

  • @dougiepoolable You would probably want to assign your sick drops to each panel then warp then and mix them up. Anything to surprise your crowd!

  • @AxelJox So you could only do this with a chosen few parts? and would you still ned the mixer thingy and decks?

  • Look inbetween the pads, its an optical illusion :0

  • All of the people who are asking stupid as FUCK questions, you need to stop being lazy and go to google and type in 'midi' and 'HERPDERPHERPDARP'

  • I just came

  • How does he use multiple parts of the trigger finger to control different things/instruments im confused???

  • does this work with logic?

  • @alk3jkb it should work with any daw that uses midi which pretty much all of them do these days :) good luck

  • Did anybody besides me think this had to tdo with Cod? LOL but cool

  • Akai MPD32 looks like a good alternative if this is discontinued.

  • @phildearson much too big this is a great piece id hold out & get one of these

  • Ok 2 questions....

    1. How do you knwo what Enigma software you need????

    2. How do You get all the different parts of the trigger finger assigned so they play multiple parts like around 1:49-3.10

  • I bet this shit works like clockwork with reason...

  • So this video here tells me he couldn't use the Abelton Launchpad with Torq...but you're saying that Abelton will support a M-audio trigger finger?

  • youtube.com/watch?v=KSNnCz8zfow

  • I liked how they showed how they mapped it and kept it overlayed while playing for a bit, that way its clear what dude is doing. On other videos for other controllers people just bang away, you have no idea what they are actually doing, for all I know a song is playing while thay are 'air drumming', not that I suspect that, just saying, its usually not this clear.

  • question: I use torq with xponent and trigger finger but when i play samples on the trigger finger I can't get the sound out even when my music on channels 1 n 2 works perfect I just can't get sound out when using the 16 cell sampler, how do I set it up so it works with my trigger finger? THANKS in advance!!! any tip would be of great help.

  • @djtavi77 looks like I just wasted money on the abelton live launchpad haha, because its not compatible with torq I guess...? So I guess I'm getting the Trigger Finger now, hope it works out for ya buddy!

  • @DjayAleks The Trigger Finger has been discontinued for a while my friend :)

  • i have same question can i using it with cubase 5?

  • can this be used in cubase 5?

  • Is there anything like this that can store the sounds? I want to get this, but I don't want to run it through a computer on stage...

  • @BassManGilbert yeah, the akai mpc can.

  • @andylovesindie Yeah, my friend performs with an Akai MPC 1000, a BOSS Loop Station, and a few other pedals.

  • Joe From LP has the M-Audio trigger finger pads (yes Linkin Park is my favorite band)...just givin u that info..

  • how the f do i install trigger finger on windowz 7?

  • Dunno why the heck they discontinued this, probably has something to do with them bringing out the axiom keyboards with pads on them, Now I'm no business expert but theres a killing to be made off this product lol.

  • Well giving there are no outs on this Midi, you can't plug it into an amp, Its not asif you can use it as the main out of your ableton set.

  • how much does it costs?

  • Tired of searching for decent samples to use in your productions?

Fed up with the same regurgitated sample packs found all over the net?

Don't worry the sample queen has got your back!

Trust me, you want it I got it I have everything!

Contact me for a full list of samples C.D's / Producer packs / VST's & AU Plugins. And remember to keep those beatz bangin!!!!!!

  • can you load samples into the trigger finger??

  • that is what it is for.

  • @thedevo01 Hi, i've been looking everywhere and I keep reading MIDI format. I have a couple of .wav files, is it possible to execute them with the M-audio finger. Thanks!

  • I sent you a PM with a link that explains everything about TF's memory.

  • @thedevo01 hey man, i have basically the same question as Harbec... can you play small .wav or .mp3 files with the trigger finger? i'm lookin into using it primarily as a "soundboard" for random sounds in my live shows instead of using it for drums like almost everyone on the internet uses it for...

  • @thekyled1988 It's more like a MIDI controller, not an actual sampler, if I understood it right.

But I'll send you the info I sent Harbec, so you can see it for yourself! =)

  • 4:23 - Where can i get that programm ?- I've got Windows 7....

  • i'm impressed

  • how do i apply pressure in ableton live?

  • if only it worked

  • can i play this through an amp? like onstage? how would i do that?

  • hook it up to your computer and hook your computer to an amp? :P

  • It has a Midi output socket... but you would need to have the audio coming out of a laptop or computer and not the actually trigger finger unit.

  • I have an MPC 2000XL, the pads are out on it, can you hook this up to the MPC 2000XL and use the pads from it and also sample on the MPC and assign the sample using the pads on this unit?

  • Im also think to get these finger trigger ,but all these demo in these video ,are this music there comes with the trigger ?

in all the other video on utube about the finger trigger are this ordinary musicc there are taking from a cd into the pc or how are there doing it

are there all that software with i will need

  • You need a DAW or program that triggers sounds through MIDI, and no, the music doesn't come with it. This device doesn't make sounds itself, it controls programs that do.

  • im getting that for my bday in 22 days

  • bella sei bravo ma piu io

  • is this product worth it cause im thinking about buyin it i alrdy have the axiom 61

  • I have the trigger finger and an axiom 25. The trigger finger is a better for doing drums. I am glad I have both. Trigger finger is more portable though. When I travel I just bring the trigger finger.

  • Are the knobs smooth and non click type? The ones on my Auxiom 49 are click type and I dont like that as I cant apply effects smoothly but rather jagged sections. thanks

  • yes the knobs are smooth :)

  • use Logic & Reason fool.

  • its maybe a stupid question but can i put this 1 on my reloop blackfire edtion en use it with turntables and cdmixers @ live performances>?

    grtzzzz

  • Anyone know if i can download the software for the trigger finger...son lost the disk that comes with it??

  • check the m-audio website

    they should have it there

  • in which program you put this

  • Any program that supports MIDI man

  • muito bom cara

  • So the program for this Has drums and synth sounds? or just drums?

  • what program?

  • I think Dragonforce123 meant was the bundled software ableton live lite and enigma. And yes, the enigma has also a huge library of sounds, both drums and synth sounds.

  • hey

can i use this with FL Studio 7 and/or 8 and what's the price of this

  • Yes you can use it with any program that supports MIDI

Just install the drivers (yes it works with Vista too)

If your using Windows Vista, just plug it in and rescan the devices. The drivers don't work with Vista, but it still works

  • the price is $150.00

  • MPD24 is a way better than this trigger finger thing. Akai makes the best MIDI controllers available. And MPC's too.

  • No way this guy is playing drums like that on the trigger finger. I have one, and the pads aren't that good and accurate. For loop triggering, it's fine...but for drums like Addictive drums, etc, it stinks. Sometimes I'll hit the bassdrum and I get 2 bassdrum notes. The sensitivity also isn't very good.

  • right well i'm convinced. time to buy one :D

  • how could you assign pads if it was just midi connected to a synth or even a modular? would it be possible to midi control a doepfer modular with this trigger? it seems interesting...

  • would've been better if the demonstrator hadnt been wearing that disgusting ring

  • what software comes with it , mine didn't come with software.

  • wow funny :)

  • nice ring

  • ok not to sound dumb im just curious what would you use this for or with?

  • fun?

  • you would use it for music...a lot of musicians use this

  • yeah like i get that but like would you hook it up to something or what

  • yeah... you would hook it up to your computer and a keyboard or a midi device

  • all i needed to know thanks

  • Hook it up through the USB in your comp, im sure it has it's own interface that you install. but basically...you would open an instrument recording software (Live lite, Audacity, etc.) then you'd basically play/record it as you would anything else. Each pad is a different drum sound.

  • can you make it loop?

  • hey man by any chance do you know how to program this into fruityloops? =)

  • yes. It's a trigger. Find out what a trigger is. Your keyboard can be used as a trigger in Fl Studio. You have to assign the effects. Think of it as a keyboard but more easy to make bests with.

  • if u still need help let me kno. u need midi cables

  • no its usb u can use midi tho

  • o i kno i use em for my keyoard but i wanna make the switch to mpc 1000 or 2000 xl

  • for those u need midi my friend got one he got the 2000

  • but the 1000 is newer. it may be smaller but hey it'll do i hate my trigger finger

  • yyy i like da trigger finger its better than most usb drum things ive ever had

  • i like akai products better. i shoulda got mpd 24 or 32.

  • i had da mpd i like da trigger finger ova dat!

  • so u have a mpc?

  • use to i broke slot of the buttons on it tho but yea mpc is way better than this this is judt the cheap version of a mpc

  • You don't know what you're talking about. You're comparing apples n oranges. Unless you meant to say MPD.

  • i was jokin lol

  • yes, dont use fruityloops and get reason lol

  • do you need software to use this or can u just buy it and it comes with different sound banks on it? i need to know asap so message me

  • u need software

  • I wanna buy it for my samples. Is there a intern memory? Can you use it for that?

    THANX!

  • this is a midi controller, no memory, just software/midi control

  • Yeah like the other guy said, this plugs into your PC and you load the samples on your PC, you can't use this on it's own.

  • owned one sold it P.O.S I.M.O

  • what does POSIMO mean?

  • piece of shit in my opinion

  • Aw man...this advertisement made me want to get this

  • The Akai MPD 24 is what i went to and was very happy with that...Just got the MPD32 and am in love!! Spend the little extra and get the Mpd 24 you will be glad you did.

  • I went to check it out on zzounds. It sounds like a good idea!

  • Can someone help me!!!!!.I have installed the program but I'm not getting any sound from the pads. I can play through my laptop keyboard...is there a command that i need to do???? please help...

  • in the future,we dont need any drummer, replace it wit trigger fingerist...

    hahaha

  • lol linkin park dosent use a trigger finger they use somthing else

  • Linkin Park use Akai samplers.

  • dose it have a metrodome to keep u on beat?

  • I need help... I've plugged it in, installed the drivers and enigma but I can't hear anything.

    Soundcard problem maybe?

  • how do u assign the beats to the pads, help please. i cant do it?

  • genial!

  • check my music indie hip hop

  • FL studio is gay if you have a slow computer the trigger finger latency does dont work like an mpc 1000 and is really non responsive i sold mine and i eventually saved up for a axiom 61 witch is better than both

  • dont see how this is kiddie shit. there is so many bands and music groups that use these. ie Linkin Park.

  • fuckin FL studio...whats the point ? its a kiddies prog.. Learn Cubase and Ableton Live...

  • retard.

  • retard 2x

  • Cool you think like a real musician.

  • Yea

  • u might have to install some of the drivers on the cd before hand, but thats all included with the Trigger Finger. Peace.

  • yes, this works prefectly with fl studio. Just plug in the USB cable, and FL Studio will recognize it.

  • This is M-Audio's weakest link. Korg padkontrol is so much better. No mushy corners. Neither can work without a laptop. Try floridamusicco for the lowest prices.

  • Looks like a very basic fun sampler so I went to the store here in Australia only to find out they want $400 for it. I'd pay half for something like this, any more and I'd be looking for something better.

  • Blame australia, it's about £110 in the uk.

  • I had problems with it at the beggining. An "unknown device" message appear when i plug it.

I could solve it installing a PCI card with USB slots in my computer. It works perfectly now but I would be carefull before buying it.

    Cheers

ps: my motherboard is an Asus P5L-MX

  • This works well with Ableton Live

HOWEVER, if you expect it work with Reason ... forget about it !!!!!

Enigma software is crap and Documentation is crap...

Still trying to getit working in Reason..

    I would NOT recommend it

  • Does it works with Pro Logic 8??peace

  • I don't know as I don't use Logic.

It "should" work with anything, but I did find myself having to re-program it to work with Reason...

Documentation is very poor. Enigma Software not great either.

I eventually got it working with Reason after I re-programmed it.

You are better off checking out Logic discussion forums for a definite answer
