I read a translated version story around Bakal in dfosource.

Bakal knew about his death when Luke showed him the visions through the machines he made(he also showed Bakal the upcoming deaths of other Apostles including the recent 3). According to Luke's vision, only 2 will live that is Hilder and Cain, and both of them will rule the revived Terra. Bakal tried to kill Cain but Cain defeated him and spared him. Luke then showed Bakal the tower which is connected to Empyrean.

During his rule, Teneb of the Seven Meisters (the ones behind the Gaebolg project) found something suspicious around Meister Eldirh. Whenever the 7 are stuck, Eldirh always solves the problem. Teneb finds out she uses magic.

Believing this, Teneb made a deal with Bakal and made a brilliant plan: Bakal will have to spare Curio of the 7 so that he can seal the project for the future generation and then Teneb will appear as a traitor. All but 2 of the 7 slowly died.

Pandemonium was once part of planet Terra. For unknown reasons, Terra crumpled into pieces and Pandemonium was one of the pieces. The Floating Castle is built by Luke the Constructor, another apostle who was pressured by Bakal to create this castle along with City of Death

@mstshk Luke built the Floating Castle unbeknownst to Bakal. Bakal discovered it at one point when he was looking for a way to escape from Pandemonium, and then he used it to get to Empyrean. Bakal put his army in the Floating Castle to prevent other people from getting to Empyrean.

@Raizen126 No, that was the City of Death. Luke built the city of death, which Bakal used to cross into Empyrean. Bakal's castle is Floating Castle, which his minions built. Upon Bakal's death, he let out a roar the split Empyrean into many different pieces, some of which fell around North Myre, while Bakal's castle floated away, and became known as the Floating Castle.

Also, Bakal practically forced Luke to build the City of Death. Bakal was one of the strongest apostles- stronger than Kasijas.

Although Cain is stronger than all of the combined forces of all of the apostles, he doesn't want to do much more than rule Unity Square. Had Bakal set foot in Cain's territory, none of these events would've ever occured, we would not likely have a gunner class, there wouldn't be the Ghent dungeons, and Sky Tower wouldn't be a dungeon.
