  • 5:29 Wow they called that foul on Michael. That would have been blocking if it was NBA Michael

  • someone box out jordan

  • I grew up in Seattle in the 90's as a big sonics fan and I'll just say that I am absolutely shocked to see Sam Perkins off the ground

  • LOL kenny smith <3...RIP bias

  • this make me sad , i mean think of all the jordan vs bias epic battle that never were :( im seriously crying rite now, his brother is another sad story On December 5, 1990, his brother a promising young basketball talent, was shot to death at age 20 following a fight in a parking lot ,He was pronounced dead at the same hospital where Len Bias had died, and was buried next to him

  • At 4:05 the refs were actually good back then, not like the one's now who let players travel left and right. Might as well change the rules and make it 3 steps now.

  • Bias outplayed Jordan!

  • Your video is a favorite on Roseau

  • this is what youtube is all about

  • Thanks for puttin up this video wasnt alive to whatch this game and I wanted to good highlights

  • 4:05 - Why Jordan was better in the NBA than college. They don't call those travels on him in the NBA.

  • mj was a fuckin dog!!

  • Biggest shocker of this vid is how HARD Sam Perkins used to ball! Just watched his latest years at Indiana... Man!

  • The point is we have seen Jordan do everything he could have done on the court. With Bias we didn't. It would have been great to see him develope. Not all of our stories ended like Bias. But, how many Jordans, have torn up a knee on the way. Or had a damaged back. Bias kind of represents all of those stories. Maybe not all would have made it. But Bias was something special. He didn't get that chance.

  • Bias and Jordan...awesome footage!! RIP BIAS!!!

  • It was sad--sorry for the typo.

  • I was at this game.

I would see Bias on campus while I was at UMCP. One day he said hello. The guy seemed like a down-to-earth, genuinely nice person. I was terribly sad news when and how he passed.

PowerFactory238, I think Bias was more skilled than you give him credit. He improved FG%, FT%, PTS, and REBs every year despite being double teamed.. Bias did well against Olajuwon and Drexler in the NCAAs. He could score inside and out. He would have been even better in the NBA.

  • @kh46daman I'll even go a step further: Regardless of level Bias was my all-time favorite player. And you're right his game by time he left College Park was NBA ready. Could you just imagined after being tutored by Hall Of Famers Larry Bird, Kevin McHale, Robert Parrish, Dennis Johnson, how much more potent he woulda been? Not to mention when the Celtics took the late Reggie Lewis the next year? I'm a lifelong Georgetown fan, but I always loved Bias!!

  • This is just depressing.

  • Great matchup

  • @PowerFactory238 There's limited footage of Bias available, but I've watched everything I possibly could. What I gather is this:

He was a FREAK athlete, possibly more athletic than Jordan (certainly stronger)

He was not as skilled. MJ could hit any type of jumper from anywhere. Bias looked like a set shooter and was just decent at ball-in-hand jumpers. He wasn't a great mover w/o the ball in terms of jumpers.

Honestly, he played a lot like Dominique Wilkins. MJ was a better player.

  • @boredfun91 probably would've been best 2

  • @boredfun91 They played different positions, which is why your comparisons are absurd. Jordan was a swing player, mostly a 2. Bias played the four. The skill sets needed for each are totally different. If MJ had to play Bias' position or vice versa,he wouldnt be as good at it. Dominique was a 2/3 as well. NOT a 4. Learn the game then come back

  • @PowerFactory238 man no he is the best! he kicked M.J.'s butt u should be ashamed.

  • man lenny is the best!

  • man he is MUCH MUCH better than Jordan all the way Lenny!!!:(

  • "Jordan LOOK AT THAT!" Never gets old.

  • refs sux!

  • that dunk at the end was fucking crazy

  • wow these refs seem anti UNC and we still smoked them anyway.

  • I think MJ could've already skipped college basketball by this time.

  • Jordan was voted the best player in college basketball that year. Two centers were picked ahead of him because those teams needed centers more.

I really like what @dusttaker said this couldve been our only glimpse at a future rivalry that never came true between these two, and think of the 86 Celtics, one of the best teams of all time. How good could they have been with Bias? Probably good enough to win a fourth with Larry Bird and be competetive through the 90s.

  • one of the sader moments in te nba

  • Cant believe jordan wasnt the number one pick. His skill level isnt were it was in the nba yet but just watching this game u can tell that he was going to do what ever it took to WIN. Score, boards, pass and get a huge steal.

  • classic jordan travels and moving pivot foot travels non stop, amazing scam

  • @bootiack HA! Your comment has to be one of the most moronic things i've read on you tube. You sir are a fucking idiot

  • The thing about MJ was that he was a late bloomer which served him well in the end. He never took anything for granted but rather just got better with each passing season. Len Bias was supposed to be the Jordan stopper for the Celtics before his unfortunate demise. Len Bias MAY have been the Jordan Bird/Magic rival who he had to go up against every year to win it all. So in a weird way this game is like basketball heaven since we never got to see this beautiful rivalry mature in the NBA.

  • @dusttaker nope he wouldn't have because he would have still used drugs in NBA which would have made him suck

  • Comment removed

  • The difference between Jordan and Bias coming out of college was Bias jumper was better. Jordan was more of a slasher in college. H really didn't develop his outside jumper until he got in the league. I think they would have truly fed off each other in the pros. R.I.P Lenny Bias!

  • @datdamnhoncho Haul ass! MJ is the greatest!

  • Get the HELL out of herewith that BullCRAP @OMNISURA!

  • Why Did He Have To Die? :'(

  • no three point line?

  • this is the difference when you play college basketball than being drafted after highschool

  • Bias is more of a Dominique type of player than Michael

  • Bias was a loser, Jordan would have just exposed him.

  • len bias would become one of the greatest.so talented,so gifted, such a pitty..but mj plays not like a rising star but as complete player even if he's 20.i'm not sure if we'll see someone better than him

  • Jordan Dunk at 10:29 -- to close the game!

  • i wish people would stop saying len bias woulda as good as jordan dude coulda very well beena bust you never know but to just say he woulda been as good as MJ is crazy dude died and never got to show what he coulda been but hey i know a guy that died at the age of 16 he would been better than magic, jordan, bird all together

  • Len Bias had an amazing mid range especially for his size wow I wish there was more footage of him he would have made Jordan even better if he wouldn't have past R.I.P

  • @bookbossyyahurk MJ is the greatest period dumbass. He didn't need nobody!

  • @Domini478 I said EVEN BETTER you cunt meaning them two going at it in the NBA would have be crazy now go moon walk in traffic bitch!

  • @bookbossyyahurk MJ is the greatest period dumbass. MJ is the greatest with or without Bias...ole retarted bitch! He didn't need nobody to make him great retarted ass! Btw, just because somebody was great in college doesn't mean he would be great in the NBA dumbass. Look at Christian Lattner, David Thompson, and Danny Manning...they was great in college but avg in the NBA dumbass...

  • @Domini478 YOU BUNDLE OF FUCKING STICKS!!! I never said Jordan wasn't the greatest player ever I believe that so listen you happy bitch! There was no doubt in any bodies mind what Jordan was going to do when he hit the league and that same belief was shared with Len Bias, them two going at it would have been legendary now hop yo fat sissy ass off the couch you fuck boy go do something with your life damn...

  • @bookbossyyahurk Fat?? How the fuck do you know how I look? Ole dumbass!

  • @Domini478 out of all that all you caught was fat smh...

  • @bookbossyyahurk ole lame nigga!

  • Len was a good player, but he had too many flaws to be compared to Jordan. Len had athletic ability, and a deadly jumpshot, but his ball handeling was weak, and he wasn't a dominant defender. He would've been a Dominique Wilkins type with a better Jumpshot. Jordan was just incomparable.

  • Oh my god...my favourite jordan's dunk at 10:33

R.I.P. Len Bias..it's really sad that he died so young..he could have been a great NBA player..

  • How is he overrated?? He built Gtown. Before he arrived, they weren't even on the basketball map, He took a chance on players other programs didn't, he had a 90plus percent graduation rate with players. 3 Final 4 appearances 6 region finals produced future pros PE, wingate, mourning, AI, jerome willams, sleepy floyd, etc. He stood up for prop48 and other causes that other coaches wouldnt have done AND he is the most respected coach in college basketball by former and current coaches

  • Bobby Knight once said the only player he saw who might have been as good as Len Bias was MJ.

  • @bucknasty250 Bobby Knight also openly prophesized that Michael Jordan would become the greatest to ever play during the 1984 Olympic run.

  • @bucknasty250 Ole dumbass! MJ is the greatest! Len is just a great college player with no rings!

  • 10 of the best spent minutes of my life

  • 10:34 CLASSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • While I do not see Len Bias being as good or greater than MJ in the pros, simply because the Celtics system wouldn't allow it, I do think he would have become a Top 5 NBA talent and a sure-fire Hall of Famer barring injury or other unforseen obstacle. He had the size, heart, competitive spirit and skill set/athleticism to revolutionize his position without a doubt. Unfortunately his own poor judgement cruelly took him away from us too soon.

  • @frostbite21133 you are nuts. Len Bias was a fantastic talent and would have easily compared to Jordan. Len Bias was a fantastic defender and a great shot blocker so I dont know what you are talking about. Len could take it to the rack, he could shoot from outside, he could handle the ball, he did EVERYTHING. But we will never know if he was better than Jordan because we never got to see it in the NBA.

  • How can you compare Len Bias to Michael (The Greatest) Jordan you must be high. Even if you look at the highlights Michael had that something extra that Len Bias didnt have. He had the ability to step it up, to increase his game, not just on the offensive end of the floor, but even on the defensive side of the floor he did whatever it took for his time to win a game none of the players now have it. The closest person to Jordan was Grant Hill before he got injured but even he was still way off

  • this was a fuckin game....

  • How in the hell did a team with MJ, Brad Daugherty, Kenny Smith, and Sam Perkins in COLLEGE not win a national championship. I swear, Dean Smith is an overrated coach. He had a treasure trove of talent and only won two national championships...both coming ironically on mistakes by the opponents in New Orleans.

  • @cbaldwinjr Because you had the Hoyas running things during this period thats why. Hoyas with Ewing, Graham would have violated the Tarheels. Remember Hoyas during the mid80's were without question the most hated and feared teams in america. This is when they had a national following. They were like the Raiders that people hated. Why do you think Al Davis and John Thompson had good friendship lol?

  • @rjam1974 Speaking of overrated coaches...Mr JOHN THOMPSON!

  • @cbaldwinjr That's stupid, his team was up on both those occasions, there's no guaranty those teams would have scored

  • @cbaldwinjr lol..you know what it was? back in the day those teams were so good and had jrs and srs playing with talented sophs...most of the best programs were stacked with nba caliber players...you just made the point yourself. the acc and the big east were crazy deep with talent...

  • @cbaldwinjr maybe because all four only played 1 season together? That's why winning a NCAA Championship is so hard, you get one shot, play a single bad game or have an off night and you're going home. This isn't the NBA Playoffs where you have to beat a team 4 times to advance and last I checked mistakes are forced by good D and an opponents failure to succeed under pressure. Hence the qualities that make champion a champion

  • @cbaldwinjr I'll tell you. He went up against a guy named Bobby Knight with a team consisting of Marty Simmons,Uve Blab,Mike Giomi,Dan Dakich, and a freshman named Steve Alford. In other words, he got his ass handed to him by the greatest coach ever. Not even 4 future NBA All-Stars and the greatest player ever could beat 5 white boys coached and playing as a TEAM by The General. Fact.

  • People need to rewatch "Without Bias" or need to. Also remember back in the day drug awareness and peer pressure wasn't taught or regulated as it is now.

  • 8:21-8:23 Check how fast jordan got to that ball....damn!

  • around 530, when jordan gets that offensive foul...had that been the NBA, jordan woulda have launched his ass over that idiot that dared stand in his way....apparently jordan wasnt aware of who he was yet.

  • whatever happened to that jordan guy? same to have had some potential... last i heard he was trying to make it in minor league baseball!

  • bias would not have been a great player. drugs would have derailed him in one form of another if it wasn't death. no dought in my mind.

  • @84ratpoison he already was a great player. You arent the Number 1 overall pick in the draft when you suck.

  • @robbersteve woops .. second pick

  • @robbersteve how about kwame brown?????????

  • @gagambala15 touche. but look at him man.. he was great.

  • @84ratpoison : i'm talking about if he has an nba career.

  • @84ratpoison - dude why don't you research the matter at hand a little more before you make a smug comment like that when you clearly have no idea what you are talking about. It was the mid 80's everyone was doing coke, I bet some of the best athletes of all time experimented w/ it at some point. Len Bias wasn't a coke head stupid if he was he might still be alive... he rarely used the drug and the stuff he was given was too pure so his body couldn't handle it and he died. Do some research dick!

  • @bucky90269 "Everyone was doing coke...", "The drug was too pure...", "If Bias was a coke head he might still be alive..."

    Yeeeeah, riiiiight, blame the drug.

Had he survived I can already see his 1st commercial with Spike Lee: IT MUST BE THE DRUGS!

  • @JohnHayzII - I'm not blaming anyone especially not the drug. i watched the fucking documentary and actually listened to wat the peoplke who were involved in the situation and in his life had to say about it. Way to take quotes way out of context. You must have been there that night cuz you know so much about it. The sad thing here is that you and anyone who disses len bias has their head up their ass because you can't see that this was a major tragedy and could have happened to anyone..

  • @bucky90269 - I'm not bashing Bias. I know next to nothing bout him, just like you. I simply made fun of your comments because... they're hilarious, whether taken out of context or not.

  • @JohnHayzII - ok i can agree with that lol the statement if he was a coke head he might of lived is a stretch but i was trying to prove the point that bias didn't use the drug very often and had a very low tolerance for it which is part of the reason why he died. You didn't disrespect him but another kid did and that's why i even commented on it in the 1st place.

  • Son of a bithchin drugs. God I hate them. They have taken more people from us than war. Kids please watch and learn...DRUGS get you no where in this life but in the grave. Learn from this and learn from Len. God rest your soul Len.

  • players were so much better back then.

  • this guy has the prettiest jumpshot ever, its great to watch. Damn shame

  • Watching Jordan just makes you shake your head in disbelief. Retrospectively. Bowie over Jordan? Really? Haha, 5.28... no way that this would have called against him in the NBA.

  • @omnivorous65 - I hate seeing Jordan. He was so overhyped as a player by those idiots at ESPN it made me sick. My brother-in-law knows dick about b'ball will tell you that MjJ was the best ever. He never saw Wilt , Russell and only watched the waning stages of Kareem's career.

Translation , he bought all the hype. I saw his career ae NC, Thompson at State and we all knew he could jump. His Bulls overcame the Pistons, shittiest champs of my lifetime. MJ no finals vs HOF center.

  • everybody hu supports bias, stfu, mj didnt evolve to a freak until he got into the nba, he avergaed 37 points in his second season, jordan is only a year older in this, clearly he takes bias by the butthole, anybody hu says otherwise is ignorant, this shouldn't even b a debate, there is no freedom of speech either when it comes to this, as for the stats in college, jordan played for dean smith and ppl said jordan would nvr average 20 points under dean smith, and he did

  • How in the world could you possibly draft Sam Bowie over Jordan?! Just based off their college careers alone. After scouting both of these players someone said " we like Bowie better"? Jordan was such a pure scorer, so explosive and athletic!

  • @Soloson21 - Heck , they were probably thinking that Bowie was going to be the next Kareem. I'd still take a great center as opposed to a great guard because if it were Wilt, Kareem or Russell they could really control a game. They clog the middle and block shots , score from a short diatance if they have post moves , and get you those boards.

Rebounds translate into possessions which = points. Problem being , we haven't had a center of the ilk of those 3 since KAJ left the game. Who knew?

  • @ftnrbhmwk. I guess Jordan would have been so scared he would have withdrawn his game because Bias was coming into the league. And for your info Bias was a Sophmore and not a Freshman and Jordan was a Junior! Now here is a fuckin hit for an idiot! If BIAS WAS DOING DRUGS IN COLLEGE, HE WOULD NOT HAVE LASTED LONG IN THE NBA, NO PLAYER HAS! SHAWN KEMP WAS ON THE ROAD TO GREATNESS BUT THE WHITE LINES BLURRED HIS GAME, THE SAME WOULD HAVE HAPPENED TO BIAS, WITH ALL THE PRESSURE IN THE NBA! MORON!

  • @vincespell First of all. I dont know u. Do u work for ESPN?... i do u JORDON DICK RIDER. Nothing u say is relevant............ I SAID IF LEFTY KNEW HE WAS ON DRUG., HE SHOULD HAD PUT IN REHAB; PUSSY!!!!! ALWAYS SOME CYBOR GANGSTA TALKING SHIT ON THE INTERNET, WITH THE NAMES. I WOULD WOULD BREAK UR FUCKING JAW IF U CAME TO ME LIKE THAT IN PERSON. TRUST ME!!!! END OF STORY... DONT COME OFF ME LIKE THAT EVER IN YOUR LIFE; BITCH!!!!

  • @vincespell - I don't wanna ruin your roll but David Thompson nearly led the ABA in scoring while kookin and geekin. You make a good point , however, because he had a far better game in college than Jordan. Personally , I think he'd have been far superior to Jordan sans coke.

However, these guys were great shooting guards. Let's not go overboard and say they were better than Wilt , Kareem , Russell. Wilt averaged 24 rebounds per game , Jordan 6.2. I don't know about you but I like rebounds.

  • It's funny hearing the announcers say Michael Jordan. If only they knew what he was going to become back then.

  • Len Bias could have been the one player measuring up to Jordan. what a rivallry that would have been.

  • @omnivorous65 If Len Bias didn't do drugs and O.D. he would have made Jordan look like Dominic Wilkens. A high scorer and highlight player with no ring. Len bias was a freshman; and Jordan was coming out that yr. He was a jurior. The Celtice would have beaten the Lakers all day in the 80's and 90's with Bias; he had way mad skill then Jordan. Lefty Drezel should have put him in rehab I'm sure he knew his star player was snorting coke, then turn to smokin it.. But you are right though.......

  • @ftnrbhmwk

If anything bias would've been more like Wilkins he doesn't have the quickness of Jordan, he was more power so if anything you can compare him to a shawn Kemp dominate Wilkins type or the kid with the clippers, Blake with a sweet jumper. Which is pretty deadly Blake griffin with a jumper, that will terrorize the league but not on a Michael JordAN like level.

  • Comment removed

  • @kdj997 See I was never a Jordan fan..lol.. I like a point guard... I like Magic Johnson..... Jordan always( traveled)from Chicago to North Carolina.. I don't know about quickness. Bias was quick for his height and build. plus he could shot.. Jordan didn't shot that well until he was in his 7 or 8 yr in the NBA. He had the baby jumper; but he wasn't making the 30 footers. He would always drive n shot the circus shots; like JOHN WALL can't shoot to save his life; but he can dribble and drive..

  • @ftnrbhmwk - Bias' college game was better than Jordan's. If Bias would have learned to put the ball on the floor, I think that he'd have been better. It would not have mattered who he played for. Auerbach was running the show (not as coach but still in charge in Beantown ) and he always used his best resources. If Bias was going to be the man he would have gotten his opportunity. It's worse than saying that Bo Jackson was one of the greatest running backs ever. All this is hindsight -20/20.

  • @42marisol1 I agree.

  • @ftnrbhmwk IDIOT I guess in the game you just saw Jordan didn't hold his own! Jordan wasn't one of the primary reasons why they beat Maryland! What the fuck were you looking at. Didn't just see what Jordan was capable of even back then! and I guess because Len Bias would have entered the League, Jordan's game would have just disappeared. Bias would have been playing with the Celtics but by no means would he have had the position Jordan had with the Bulls. Larry "Legend' Bird led that team

  • @omnivorous65 - If he had learned how to dribble better and be able to drive from the top of the key to the hole, he would have been unstoppable. Remember , MJ couldn't dribble so well in college also and I think Len would have improved in that area too. Since he had a much better outside shot at Maryland than Jordan did at UNC, he would have been at least as good or a better shooter than Jordan. Bias was always a beast physically and he would have gotten tons of rebounds on top of that.

  • @omnivorous65

I'm not convinced. IMHO - no way. Sure, he might have been a great player, but Jordan ate great guys that were proven to be athletic and talented for breakfast throughout his whole career. So that's a big, far-fetched "what if" if not a "no-no". Still - he would be hella fun to watch playing alongside Bird and McHale.

  • @JohnHayzII But none were had the package that Bias had. He was the first Lebron but with a better shot.

  • @omnivorous65 No he couldn't...nobody would be better than MJ dumbass...

  • @ 0:35 It looks like there is a lot of empty seats!!! Are you serious! I would venture to guess there we will never see that much talent on a college floor ever again. Today Len Bias would go to the league out of high school, Jordan would be a one and done, and Sam Perkins would have played two years at the most. It is a shame. BTW, that offensive foul call on Jordan @ 5:45 was one of the worst calls ever. Talk about home court advantage.

  • @dfranklin70 - Regarding empty seats - It was January 12 and this translates into Christmas break for the students. Even if it were snowing I would have gone to this game but I worked nights at that time. I only saw Bias and Jordan in person a few times. I saw David Thompson every time he came to town from NC State and loved those Lefty teams w/ McMillen, Elmore, Lucas, Howard, Tom Roy, Owen Brown etc. A friend used to let me sneak in the door and I just sat in the student section.

  • @dfranklin70 - I totally agree with you " I would venture to guess there we will never see that much talent on a college floor ever again.' Never, never - Bias, Jordan, Perkins, Worthy would be 1 and done.

The college game (which I always preferred to the NBA ) has suffered drastically do to this (1 and done or straight out of hs ) and will never be the same. Duncan is called Mr. Fundamental because no other bigs have waited more than 2 years out of HS to jump to the NBA in recent years.

  • lol 5:51.... he slammed into that

  • It's just wishful thinking for the ppl who says bias was the guy who would've challenged MJ and changed history. This vid proves that MJ played at a different level of intensity. Retards don't understand that u have to look past skills, yeah open was bigger and a better shooter but the tenacity and heart of MJ was unmatched... oh yeah and don't put too much crack in the pipe, or you'll end up just like own bias and that's six feet deep. Len bias must didn't know how to do his crack right, do his

  • @kdj997 hahaha... that's funny... I'm sure you know that was the 80's.. Cocaine was stronger back then. 100.00 a gram. purer. Just like herion was 250.00 a gram. it was more pure and stronger. Now coke and herion in cheaper and not as pure. 30 to 130.00 a gram for herion; and maybe 25.00 to 30.00 and gram for coke..That's what Charlie Sheen could smoke 6 tennis ball like crack balls. He couldn't do that back in the 80's. He would die. Many ppl O.D. and died on crack in the 80's.

  • @ftnrbhmwk

Wow that educational, even rich people can't get good coke now days, man. Things suck. Not that I'm recommending anyone do crack or coke I'm just shocked.

  • @kdj997 Yup.... True Story...I know, right?

  • @ftnrbhmwk

But real 100% talk crack or coke and heavy drinking causes most deaths. If you're doing cocaine and downing heavy alcohol ur puttin ur body through hell. It's very difficult to O.D on coke alone. That being said if you're smoking crack chances are you're not gonna be responsible to turn down a drink I mean YOU ARE S ALREADY SMOKING CRACK FOR GOD'S SAKES you'd probably figure a drink is the least of your problems unfortunately medical science shows otherwise. Google cocaine alcohol.

  • @kdj997 PPL who smoke crack, take alcohol for the same reason ppl SPEEDBALL, mixing herion with coke; because their heart is racing soo fast, they want to come down. They are afraid their heart is going to bust. I don't think ppl drink because they are high on coke. Some ppl rather not CHASE THE DRAGON... HERION!!! So they drink alcohol instead to come down... They don't know the liver is going to matabilize the alcohol first.. That is why they O.D. The coke is still in the blood stream, N heart

  • is that Kenny Smith who's now a TNT Analyst? from the Rockets?

  • The thing no one talks about is how Jordan and Carolina choked against indiana that year

  • Jordan was a beast!!!

  • sorry jordan was better

  • @Z43hoops cuz jordan had a better team. Sam Perkins and Kenny Smith (N. Carolina's player) was in the USA Dream team.

  • @GeneralJacksonChan

im talking about individually,he was better

  • thanks for the upload

  • Len Bias.....wouldve been excellent... in Boston...truly sad..that we never got to see it

  • Damn they didn't call no fouls when Jordan got the ball I swear refs can be so bias in college for home teams.

  • i watched this game,channel 54,baltimore(f*ck that)wrenwood ave,wilson park niggas)yo,this game,along with UNLV dookey-n on Duke(they bitch slapped duke,lol,Arkansas vs. UNLV(todd bumass day,lee mayberry)Duke vs.Maryland 01'final four(we lost,wtf???)but won the next year,lol,too many too name,but this game....ACC CLASSIC!!!! Dont front yo!

  • Maybe the greatest rivalry in colledge history...Jordan-Bias...if only something different happened that July 19th...it would probably be the greatest rivarly in the sports history...Jordan-Bias...

  • No one and i mean no one had a better shoot then len bias...still to this day i wounder what bias could of been....and yes people Bias was the better player coming out of college....i love Jordan's game but Bias was 2in taller and stronger then Jordan was and his game was way better at that time

  • @elponce21 Did you watch Jordan throughout this game. Not taking anything away from Len, but Jordan was the more inteligent player. It clearly shows what would follow him. No one steal get's it but LARRY BIRD! Larry commented how inteligent Jordan was. he said Jordan would be the greatest even if he couldn't Jump? That's saying some thing. I've seen Len bias play years ago. he couldn't Jump like Jordan. he could jump high, but Jordan could always hang in the Air, Like the Doctor! steals, blocks

  • This was back when the Maryland-North Carolina rivalry was a big deal. It still is to a certain extent today but not like it was back then.

  • Jordan is the 'God of the Air' -ASCHER- (the Buick Wing Symbol)

after watching this vid 12 times..over a yr or two. i would say 'High-Bias'

possessed a More prettier J. and maybe more accurate in college.

But Jordan soon became deadly his 3rd yr in the Pros. and on.

Jordan way more killer instinct than Bias. I look at Bias like Dr. J was just an incredible athlete with hardly a tinge of Killer instinct.

that is what makes you great. Mental Toughness, and KI. just ask Gordon Gecko!!

  • @mjai23

Ummm.......keep in your little mind that Bias was a SOPH in this game. You want killer instinct, get a copy of NO Carolina's first ever loss in the Dean Dome. Watch Bias single-handedly destroy the Heels and please ask Warren Martin about 'killer instinct', son.

  • Blake Griffin is the NEW Len Bias.

  • A few ppl here have said they couldve had a rivalry like Magic and Bird.Check this irony.Look at the initials of all 4 players? WOW

  • @missayawk true that man true that!!

  • I can't believe many people here don't believe on Red Auerbach' s decision. How many superstars he made? We got Larry Bird, Bill Russel, Reggie Lewis, Danny Ainge, Dave Cowens, etc. and you still doubt that Len Bias could be great? Auerbach knows his shit.

Even if Bias didn't develop from his college basketball, he can still be a major factor with the C's with the support from the Big 3 and Reggie Lewis.

  • Hands down #Priceless footage!

  • What a rivalry Len Bias and Michael Jordan would've had in the NBA

  • RIP Len Bias. Cocaine is one hell of a drug!

  • is that Kenny 'The Jet' Smith?

  • Look at the Tarhill bench after Jordan's poster dunk!

  • perkins mad dunking all sorts in college*

  • Wow. They need to start showing these classic matchups on ESPN Classics

  • U know what, Michael Jordan in basketball and Mike Tyson in box in their early ages had something same in their nature and in their athleticism.

  • 4:23 this is about the only time MJ has ever been called for a travel :)

  • @sluv2600 OMG. It was a travel, but my god, has the game changed, that would never be called today.

  • You can gett this mp3 at ezmp3grab..com

  • MJ put the punctuation mark!

  • anybody who thinks bias woulda been btr than jordan is on crack just on crack, jordan wasnt even at his best at college he exploded in the nba what r the chances that would have been the same for bias, there r tons of players who has btr stats than jordan in college yet nobody has come close

  • I always hear people say "if Len Bias hadn't died he would have been one of the greatest,." I don't really buy it. If he would've lived he still would've had a drug problem that probably would've gotten worse once he started making NBA money. Not to say cocaine use would have ruined his game but it probably would have gotten him in trouble off the court which would have led to suspensions.

  • what a ballgame for everybody.

  • @and1dima

It used to be called Jefferson Pilot, now it's Raycom. But this is a replay of the JP game on ESPN Classic.

  • can somebody tell me what the name of the tv channel is?

  • 5:45 bullshit call

  • Had len bias lived to play in the nba him and jordan would have had a rivalry that would have made magic johnson and larry bird jealous

  • That wouldve been a good matchup, I think Len wouldve gave MJ fits, especially being on that celtic team. But MJ just wanted it more than mostly every other person to ever play in the NBA

  • It's amazing how tame Jordan is as a team player in college, and what a dominating force he became in the NBA.

  • bias dominated that game....his jump shot was perfect....

  • Len Bias was probably the best College Basketball Player in the country at the time

  • @epics7 I think you misunderstood me. I think Len had all the tools. Maybe even a better jump shot than Jordan at the time. However with his passing we never had the chance to debate the careers. Going to Boston may have had a good or bad effect on his career. We just don't know. One thing is for certain though, he was a heckua talent. Couldnt go wrong drafting him or Jordan.
