Oklahoma, Oregon twice, Oregon State, TCU, and Virginia Tech. They would gladly play SEC teams but being the amazing conference they are they only schedule Creampuffs for their OOC games. The best team they scheduled OOC was WVU (9-3). Then it turns into one massive SEC circle jerk were everyone is ranked and no one drops because thet only lose to other ranked teams.
@utahgs They try to schedule them every year but those conferences refuse to schedule home and home with BSU. They are scared and know that BSU will more than likely beat them.

I just hope they make the MWC a automatic quallifier unlike the Big East which is very poor or even the ACC who has been horrible lately. Because Boise State is from the WAC, one of the weakest confrences in college football. An undefeated team from the Big-12, Big-10, Pac-10, or the SEC would automatically get it. Boise State will have a better chance next year when they join the MWC. And Alabama is not automatically out of it either. Alabama plays Auburn and LSU and a potential to play in the SEC championship so they are not out of it at all. A 1 loss SEC championship team like Florida back in 2008 would get to the BCS title.

We have alot of teams on the roster that are just doormats and i'm rather tired of seeing us go against those teams. I would say that Wisconsin, Iowa, OSU, and Penn State are pretty good, Michigan St (half strength this bowl) and NW are decent, and Purdue is sporadically dangerous (Oregon, Ohio State?). The rest are weak.
This isn't a bad conference. After all, the SEC isn't good outside of LSU, Florida, and Alabama. More relevant to this video, the WAC is sub-Illinois competition outside of Boise State.

Boise State may be an excellent team, but they play only one real game in regular season and that is usually in week 2, when neither team is in a rhythm yet. This is not fair and I will continue to dislike Boise State until they improve their strength of schedule.
Solution to Non-AQ problem: Put Boise State into Mountain West. Make Mountain West AQ (they'd deserve it).
They play VT in week 2 and Oregon State in week 4. Last year, they played Oregon in week 1. While those games are respectable, the rest of Boise State's season is not. To get a decent schedule, they need a conference change.
It's difficult to schedule good opponents out of conference after week 4. To get a decent schedule, they'd need to change conferences. I don't know about you, but If Boise State joined the MWC, I think it would be almost criminal not to have the MWC be an AQ conference.
We play Va Tech the first game of the season, and I believe Oregon State a few weeks later. We also have to play Wyoming at like 10,000, Nevada at their house, and at San Jose. These games are not easy, and you guys don't see them the way we do. This Schedule is the toughest we have had since 05 when we played at Georgia and Oregon State. We won that Oregon State game by the way, the Pac-10 came out and said they Messed up. A classic Pac-10 Controversy.
VT is an excellent team and Oregon State might be good (Pac10 standings are a big ? next year), but the rest of the rest of the schedule is hardly difficult. (Wyoming, Nevada, and San Jose are not as strong as you say.)
lol.....We play them every year and we have played at Wyoming a few times. I'm sure you have watched every one huh? Bronco fans know those are tough games but you don't see them like that and then you bust are chops when its close. When La Tech almost beats Lsu you all say Lsu played bad, nope La Tech just brought it when they needed too, these are those types of game every time, expecially in Reno....
And when Nevada loses to ND 35-0, we say that Nevada is a bad team. Of course, weak teams have their moments in real conferences. NW vs Iowa or Purdue vs Ohio State (Purdue vs Oregon to a lesser extent). Just don't pretend that they are ranked opponents.

I consider Boise State a good team, but I think their schedule past week 4 is extremely weak due to their conference. While they have been able to consistently schedule top a 10 game between weeks 1 and 4, It is virtually impossible a big game after that. Say what you will, but I do not think a single victory against a top 20 opponent should result in a national championship game. There are a lot of good teams out there who play more difficult schedules.

Oklahoma, Oregon twice, Oregon State, TCU, and Virginia Tech. They would gladly play SEC teams but being the amazing conference they are they only schedule Creampuffs for their OOC games. The best team they scheduled OOC was WVU (9-3). Then it turns into one massive SEC circle jerk were everyone is ranked and no one drops because thet only lose to other ranked teams.

I just hope they make the MWC a automatic quallifier unlike the Big East which is very poor or even the ACC who has been horrible lately. Because Boise State is from the WAC, one of the weakest confrences in college football. An undefeated team from the Big-12, Big-10, Pac-10, or the SEC would automatically get it. Boise State will have a better chance next year when they join the MWC. And Alabama is not automatically out of it either. Alabama plays Auburn and LSU and a potential to play in the SEC championship so they are not out of it at all. A 1 loss SEC championship team like Florida back in 2008 would get to the BCS title.

We have alot of teams on the roster that are just doormats and i'm rather tired of seeing us go against those teams. If we had our choice we would go up against alabama and ohio anyday but since we are in the wac opputunities like that aren't common. Instead we go against the vandals and new mexico st. Everyone here wants to face bigger teams but the oppurtunity just doesnt sprout for us.

Although, we will never know how well they could do. You honestly can't judge a team by their schedule, in my opinion, because you really can't say FOR SURE that they can't keep up with a team from the Pac 10, Big 10, Big 12, SEC, MWC, or ACC.

This isn't a bad conference. After all, the SEC isn't good outside of LSU, Florida, and Alabama. More relevant to this video, the WAC is sub-Illinois competition outside of Boise State.

Boise State may be an excellent team, but they play only one real game in regular season and that is usually in week 2, when neither team is in a rhythm yet. This is not fair and I will continue to dislike Boise State until they improve their strength of schedule.
Solution to Non-AQ problem: Put Boise State into Mountain West. Make Mountain West AQ (they'd deserve it).

It's difficult to schedule good opponents out of conference after week 4. To get a decent schedule, they'd need to change conferences. I don't know about you, but If Boise State joined the MWC, I think it would be almost criminal not to have the MWC be an AQ conference.

We play Va Tech the first game of the season, and I believe Oregon State a few weeks later. We also have to play Wyoming at like 10,000, Nevada at their house, and at San Jose. These games are not easy, and you guys don't see them the way we do. This Schedule is the toughest we have had since 05 when we played at Georgia and Oregon State. We won that Oregon State game by the way, the Pac-10 came out and said they Messed up. A classic Pac-10 Controversy.

VT is an excellent team and Oregon State might be good (Pac10 standings are a big ? next year), but the rest of the rest of the schedule is hardly difficult. (Wyoming, Nevada, and San Jose are not as strong as you say.)

I consider Boise State a good team, but I think their schedule past week 4 is extremely weak due to their conference. While they have been able to consistently schedule top a 10 game between weeks 1 and 4, It is virtually impossible a big game after that. Say what you will, but I do not think a single victory against a top 20 opponent should result in a national championship game. There are a lot of good teams out there who play more difficult schedules.
