You know, as an American, I would hope, one day, that, should there ever be a united earth, that His or Her (Future) Majesty would be sovereign of all of Terra and its associated planets.
As an Australian I would like to say that we have had our differences but I still support the royal family even though some support becoming a republic!
Used to be played as the theme tune to "Radio Newesreel" in the late 50's early 60's. i remeber listening to it in a caravan in Hunstanton in the rain in 196i or 2!
@DCLI1207 Wish I could tell you that but as a consequence of liberalism, immigration and successive Labour and Conservative governments it might never happen. VOTE BNP FOR REAL CHANGE!!
i live in california and my school does lots of american marches but i love british ones more. so as an american(half mexican) i say god save the queen
@adiacanthus Yes,the BBC used this march to introduce RADIO NEWSREEL,I used to tune into RADIO NEWSREEL on BBC Shortwave world Service daily as a young shortwave radio listener and ham radio enthusiast in the late 1970's and upto the mid 1980's.A very stirring march by Arnold Zafroni,an Englishman of I talian descent. When I hear that march played by one of Her Majesties fine Military Bands it stirs the British blood in me,makes me proud to be of British Descent.
@VO1XH I realized I had made a mistake on my post, Arnold Safroni was a nom de plume for A.S.Middleton,a novelist and composer from Kent AND NOT OF Italian descent oops, sorry about that.
The St. John ambulance men used to march out at Oxford Speedway in the 1950s to this march ,memories of Ove Fundin ,Ronnie Genz Brian Crutcher Frankie Johnston and my late Grandfather who used to take me
@loystloystloyst Yes,me too,It stirs the proud British Blood in my veins and makes me feel very proud of my British Ancestry.God Save The Queen & Long live the British Commonwealth of Nations.
@blackpoolbarmpot I wish they still played it. It was a shame that it was dropped sometime in the mid 1980's,one of the most stirring of British Marches.I just love the British Military Bands,my favorite are Her Majesties Royal Marines. Regards, Don
Superb. Magnificent. Doesn't it make you feel wonderful?

As an American of Scottish decent, I know where my loyalties lie - with the glorious Empire of Queen Victoria! When will the Lion wake again?

Great March. I had a 78 rpm record of this number played by Fodens Motor Works in the early forty's. You can't beat Kenneth Alford's music.
