I am running an AMD64x2 cpu on an Asrock a780 chipset with a 9800GTX and i have no problems at all. My power supply is a Hiper 600 watt and i have 3 harddrives and 2 rom drives as well as 3x 230mm and 1x 140mm case fans and my system is very stable. Nvidea reccomend a 450watt power supply with at least 38amps across the +12v rails. Your system will be fine, enjoy mate ;)

make sure the "detect best sound input" box is checked. Thats what setting i use and ive had no problems. I'm using Vista Ultimate now but i have had no problems with either XP or Vista. Maybe check your sound settings in control panel, i have had lots of problems with vista and my Audigy soundcard when using other programs like ventrillo and teamspeak, eventually ripping it out and using onboard sound instead.

hey spoonserver ive downloaded fraps and im trying to record me playing some game footage but when recording the FPS dosent get above 30 ? why is this? without Fraps i get 198 FPS?

You can change the rate at which fraps captures video to your drive in the fraps menu. Fraps is a good program for video capture but the files it produces are huge and its a system hog. Try altering some settings like fullscreen to half screen capture etc etc.

lol @ 7300 it wont run good if it will run at all. if you are on a tight budget i suggest you get the 8600gts . on my old gaming system i had one of those and that still plays new games. crysis - cod 4 - ut3 etc.

depends how much you have to spend. ATI have just released the HD 4870 512MB £174.97inc vat. or maybe cheaper, which i understand runs just as fast if not faster in most games but yet is substantially cheaper than the 9800GTX. Or you could try and pick up an 8000 series card from Nvidea, particulary the 8800GT 512mb £104.95 inc vat. All depends on how much you want to spend.

Try adding another 1GB of ram. You wont see a vast improvment in gaming but the overall performance of your computer would definately benefit from more memory. Many newer games run better with 2GB of system ram. Vista eats up close to 800MB of ram on its own, XP is around 350MB

You need to edit the .avi files that fraps creates when you record your gameplaying, to create a movie. I suggest that you try either Windows movie maker, which is easy to use and allows you to render your video to whatever size you want, or you could use one of the many Video editing programs on the market, Sony Vegas/Adobe Premiere etc. Personally i use Sony Vegas 8 Pro.

To help some people : I just played the Demo of DMC 4 with all options to extra high and resolution to 1280 x 920 and 4x AA .

And it runs fine! with 37 to 40 FPS.

Yes i would imagine that it runs really well on lower specced systems, i was getting a constant 60fps with fraps recording, anyone who uses fraps knows that it is a real system drain and most games "video" settings have to be reduced to produce good footage to edit from.

well i can tell its your first time playing dmc so let me give u a hint! the guns are just to chain your combos, the primary weapon is your sword! and at the boss u should have just used the sword and when he was stuned u should have used the devil bringer 2 times! u would have killed him very fast this way :P

I need to set my pad up. If you notice, a couple of times i pressed the wrong button and a hint screen popped up with an Xbox pad on it, i have a thrustmaster duel shock and the pad setup screen wouldnt allow me to use some of the buttons on mine,nothing to do with drivers as it works perfectly for other games, hopefully this will be sorted out for release as im not buying a new pad for one game.
