Do you have any tips on how to setup the latency compensation and whatnot in any recording software, reaper, live 8, adobe audition for it to sound best? other tips are also welcomed. and if you could make a video about mixing and mastering it would be great.

@electrickabuki the audio interface is powered by 12V DC; the power doesn't come from the USB (and a separate power cord should come with the box). My guess is that the interface has a built-in step-up transformer for phantom power, and draws a little more current from the wall to give it the juice it needs. My Focusrite Saffire 8i6 is 12V DC at 1A, with phantom power. Hope that helps (:

@MrXtaZy The same effect can be had by with eq'ing a mic with a more linear frequency response.

In fact any two low-noise, low-distortion mics can be made to sound like one another with an eq curve. A non-linear mic can be given a more linear response, but with less dynamic range where frequencies are cut, and/or higher SNR were frequencies are boosted.

Extremely important to note though is that these are guidelines, not rules - recording vocals with a dynamic mic can in a lot of cases be the better option. And experimenting with different mics when recording is not only fun, it's also a really great way to get to know your mics.
