I think for most women who are doing this need to actually tone up so using an 8 pounder would be perfect. It's not too much weight but it will add some challenge when doing this for 3x for a 12 count. Lighter weights and more reps will add definition and tone without adding bulk. I'm not looking for bulk, I just want to get rid of extra jiggle :P
i suffer from fibromyalgia and i have sore knees what can i do to help boost my lower legs and butt that wont be harmful to my joints and knees? i love this video!!
@sparklewish80 if it's difficult for you to do squat, try riding a bike, it will work all the muscles in your butt and thighs, walking only works the smaller internal glutes not the major gluteus maximus. or you can do alternating front and back leg raises to work the same muscles in your butt and thighs.
@fitrainer1 thanks so much for the information!! i can tell you care about your subs since u responded so quickly and with a great deal of information. :) i will try your suggestions!! i cant wait for your other videos!!

8 to 12 pound dumbbell?
What are you training for? Kitchen work?
Come on ladies, no wonder you're still considered the weaker gender, if you don't push yourself you're not gonne grow any stronger and that only gives us guys more reason to tell you girls to get back to the kitchen.
You're not improving anything if you keep working out too light. It's good to start to get nice form, but if you don't build...yeah you don't build anything, no muscle.
@Eetaq I'm not talking about being a power lifter. I'm talking about actualy building some muscle.
Sure her workouts are great if your a total newbie and have no form or workout experience whatsoever.
If you're one bit more serious about working out, getting into shape for a long-distance run or mountain climbing or anything that actualy requires physical finesse, you won't find it here.
You can look just like her, just stop eating the cookies. No work, all the gain.
@BrutusAlbion Girls have much smaller muscle mass than men. It takes much longer for a woman to be able to lift heavier weights than a guy. Just the way the human body is built for us ladies. Unless women do a strict diet with supplements and vitamins included. I don't know what kind of women you're looking at haha, but they must be titans.
@00618 Yeah girls have less muscle mass than guys. But that doesn't mean you can't develop them. I'm not saying you'll develop them as much as guys as that is almost impossible without juicing urself. But I have seen girls who are plenty in shape without looking bulky but when they get near the weight rack. Even the muscled guys know to clear that area since those girls will put them to shame. Specialy with things like squats, great for ur ass and back, but so hard guys won't even try it.
@BrutusAlbion I'm just saying 8-12lbs isn't a bad weight. I'm very much in fit and it sadly took me a very long time to be able lift 20lbs I was stuck with 8-12lbs for a long time. So quick hating on the ladies. Women don't aim to be ripped these videos are mainly for keeping healthy and staying fit.
@00618 The odds of women getting ripped is extremely low because of A) you girls don't dare touch heavier weight than 10 pounds B) even if you did your body won't allow you to grow manly muscles and C) Girls are discouraged from doing any kind of hard workout lest they turn into hulking men...eventhough that is almost impossible. The result is that we see women doing girly moves that have no real use. If you wanted to look hot, just stop eating the chocolate cookies and eat healthy.
@Nyanko Yes definitely is good for muscle toning and losing some fat working your larger muscle groups such as the Quads during a squat and hamstrings during the deadlift help boost your metabolic rate also will give a very toned lower body to the ladies which we men love.
great workout! Can't wait to try it a the gym tonight!

@BrutusAlbion Some people are training to be physically attractive. Not everyone cares one iota about being a powerlifter.

Aren't deadlifts damaging to the back and upright rows impinge on the nerves in the shoulder?
