If you search on ebay. You can find a $1 something Tiny Usb Dongle and a wireless sensor bar for around $4. I'm using both of them for the Dolphin emulator and it works flawlessly
I really want to get this working, but it won't work. At first the wii remote blinked all 4 buttons after I got it connected, but it wouldn't stop blinking 4 buttons. After that, every time I connect it it immediately shuts off or the 1 and 4 player lights shine, and shortly after they shine the remote shuts off and I have to start all over again.
How do u use it with the sensor bar? and Glovepie, isn't picking up my Wiimote inputs. The first and last led on my Wiimote just lights up and I think it is frozen until I disconnect BT. I'm using Vista btw,
I cant skip the pairing process, both my computers keep asking me for the code, which appears not to be on the wiimote or the packaging. why does yours, and every other machine on youtube skip this part?
Can someone please tell me how to get past the password check when connecting the wiimote?!?!?!?!?!?! my pc (running xp) doesnt have the skip button. i HAVE to put in a code.
Do you really need that sensor bar? How come the Bluetooth Dongle itself isn't enough? Most people don't use any sensor bar and it works just perfectly.
oh yeah, everyone have to explain in addition to how they do it; how it could be done in "england"(UK!), otherwise they're racist. Nice logic, douchebag.
I have a custom sensorbar + wii-controller+ a USB Bluetooth. and if I want to use the wii controller as pc mouse or something do I have to write my own script for that?
iosysred i've tired to get this to work counless times i've even tried wiinremote but i can't get any input from my wii remote.
I can get as far as paring it to my computer and installing the HID drivers but for some reason when i try to detect input from the GUI interface in GlovePIE i dont get a response
i think my wii remote isn`t responding to GlovePIE because the blue lights on the wii remote don`t flicker along the path of the wiimote which indicates its responding to GlovePIE.
Hey, I ALWAYS get stuck on the passkey stage. i have no option to skip that step as i have a belkin bluetooth device and i use the driver that came with it. it worls great on vista but not XP any advice? please respond
Can you play Spider Man Friend-OR-Foe with the numchuck and the Wii Remote. But i know you need a Computer Logetich Controller to play Spider Man Friend-Or-Foe.
Heya, i want to play World of Warcraft with Wiinremote, but there are some things that arent clear yet...like how to fully connect to my Computer, i have a bluetooth adapter yes...
if it is the orginal one, yes, it is a problem because the ir leds are not on. See the wii sensor bar is hooked up to the wii, yet no information is being sent. it just use's the wii as a power source to power on the led's.so you'll either need to use candles, a lamp or other light, or a wireless sensor bar
Oh, and another thing, this is probably stupid to ask, but I seriously don't know... Could I use the sensor on my laptop itself? It has the black IR light thingy or whatever. Like, not a light, but the thing you point your tv remote at for example.
Okay sorry, so this is probably a stupid question, but all I'd need to actually use it with applications (like video games) is just a bluetooth usb adapter device? I see you have a sensor, but you said "to use it as a pointer", I assume you mean use it like a mouse. I don't care about that, I would just want it to work for games.
Yes. The "sensor bar" is a misnomer in case you didn't know already, cuz all it does is provide an infrared light array for the Wiimote's IR sensor/camera to pick up. You can also use candles, the sun...etc. etc. etc.
If you want to use the Sensor bar from your Wii on your computer, first you have to connect your Wiimote to the computer like I show in the video. Once it's connected, go ahead and turn on the Wii. Move the sensor bar over to your monitor. Voila, instant sensor bar for your computer.
The one I'm using is the MSI Star-somthing or other. I forget the exact model. Go to Wiili dot com (youtube doesn't let me post links) and there's a page there that lists compatible bluetooth dongles.
Not only does the "bluetooth setup wizard" button not show up when I highlight the wiimote in my bluetooth places, but when I click what I figure is the equivalent, I click "skip" and nothing happens.
Alright, I got it hooked up. The lights are flashing, I can see the green arrows, it's definitely hooked up. Apparently glove PIE isn't seeing it, though. I open glove PIE, open a script, and it doesn't do anything. At first I thought it might be because I'm using 2 flashlights instead of a sensor bar (besides the fact that if I hit the A button it didn't click) but then I saw a script that's supposed to do stuff to the LEDs and it didn't...
Make sure you're connecting right. When you skip the pairing, on the next step you must wait for the type of connection you want to establish. If you just hit Finish it won't connect.
To test it just make a simple script like
debug = Wiimote.A
then run it and hit the A button and see if it responds.
I answer all of its questions, the process goes normally and it appears connected, but if I run the GlovePIE script that tells me what wiimote is which is says there are none hooked up.
Look up the website Wiili (Youtube doesn't let me post links in the comments). In the forum section of the site there's a whole forum dedicated to making Sensor bars. Go there to check out how people made them. My posts there are under the name amablue.
I bought a bluetooth congle and I connected to my wiimote but I ran the glove pie wiimote scripts(the LED show, rumble and others) and nothing happened!
all u need to do is go to ur local computer store and just buy a cheap bluetooth adapter any will do find make sure its compatible with ur usb for instance there is 2.0 for the newer computers today or just usb 1.0 for the older computers. to make a wii sensor bar go on tricklife com and search wii sensor bar
I would like to try this but I dont have a sensor bar or a blue tooth adapter. I heard that some adapters dont work, and Id like to know which one you used to prevent getting one that doesnt work, and are you going to post a tutorial on how you made your sensorbar?
Over all If I had a 3rd hand Id give you three thumbs up.
It couldn't have been the one I have, RadioShack doesn't carry MSI. Even though I'm a RadioShack employee, the stuff there is a ripoff. Buy from newegg.
Although I can't bring a direct image from the store I went to, I'll just bring up what you have to search for on RadioShack. It looked similar with the little cap and all, but with all the confusing technology these days, you never know.
Just search Bluespoon USB Dongle on Radioshack. it should come up with only one item.
And I'll try looking at Newegg, seeing as you're enforcing it's better prices. :)
thank u so much

Although I can't bring a direct image from the store I went to, I'll just bring up what you have to search for on RadioShack. It looked similar with the little cap and all, but with all the confusing technology these days, you never know.
Just search Bluespoon USB Dongle on Radioshack. it should come up with only one item.
And I'll try looking at Newegg, seeing as you're enforcing it's better prices. :)
