Listen to her 15 - 16 yr old recordings (cd 'Take Away The Pain Stain') & her albums, starting at CTI's 'End of A Rainbow' right through to 'Sound Advice' (2011). Patti just turned 61 Aug 10 2011. She's been making music for 58 of those yrs & recording for 57 of those, taking a break for school & life, stuff like that. Lol. How many artists have contributed THIS much? & still sound great? Asbolutely agree with you, Patti should have won a Grammy for this performance. That little growl at the very end is the perfect cap. I think Dusty Springfield was one of the greatest singers of all time and she did a lovely version of "Any Other Fool" on her "Reputation" album but it doesn't touch Patti's.

Patti should never have been that thin (based on the photo of her along with the one of Sadao) but thank God for putting me on earth during her career.
