The video only shows one side of the story. There were no clips of the Italians retaliating back against the Koreans. However, it doesn't take away from the fact it was an extremely poorly officiated game. if this match results to racism, it's a shame. This isn't what football is about. Italy would later be brandished as cheaters for diving against Australia, but there was little to none racist remarks against them. Hey, I'm Italian and I can say it's more the lack of proper officiating. That's a lot of how Asian football is played. I can't blame SKOR--they took advantage of the game as it was played, both against Spain and Italy. FIFA may have had an agenda regarding expanding the game to more Asian markets so they may have wanted to see one of the host nations go deep into the Cup Finals, but clearly both Spain and Italy had chances to blow SKOR completely out of the water, and should have done so.

The video only shows one side of the story. There were no clips of the Italians retaliating back against the Koreans. However, it doesn't take away from the fact it was an extremely poorly officiated game. if this match results to racism, it's a shame. This isn't what football is about. Italy would later be brandished as cheaters for diving against Australia, but there was little to none racist remarks against them. It's a shame for those who have disgraced the name of football through racism.

Hey, I'm Italian and I can say it's more the lack of proper officiating. That's a lot of how Asian football is played. I can't blame SKOR--they took advantage of the game as it was played, both against Spain and Italy. FIFA may have had an agenda regarding expanding the game to more Asian markets so they may have wanted to see one of the host nations go deep into the Cup Finals, but clearly both Spain and Italy had chances to blow SKOR completely out of the water, and should have done so.

The fixed matches began occuring after Japan was already out. The idea was to make sure that atleast one of the two hosts would make it far in the World Cup. This ref. is a tool for sure, I've read about several of his controversies but I wouldn't be surprised if it was Korea behind this.
