Other times during the day it is 6 MB, 5 MB, 4 MB.........Supposedly I'm supposed to get "up to" 7 MB with Roadrunner. {I pay $50 a month.} I don't download anything. I keep my computer "pristine." When I call Time Warner they tell me its my browser etc. etc...I think it is them not my browser????
I believe that I don't have a "set" ISP. My ISP changes regularly. I looked into it a little bit and heard that perhaps it is not a good idea to get a singular, constant ISP because then if you happen to go somewhere you can't use the computer {although I RARELY travel anymore.} When you say "change your ISP" what do you mean exactly because my ISP changes all the time. {I also heard it costs a bit more to have a constant, singular ISP.
by ISP i mean your "internet service provider"..like at&t or comcast, if my provider wasn't giving me the bandwidth I pay for then i'd definitley lose them...
@TrowbridgeHardcore Yeah definitely, but that's what happens when you have monopolies in place like Comcast like we do. In many cities here in the US they are the only cable internet service provider.
@miasmablk yh over here adsl 2 is by far more popular beceause there are hundreds of adsl conpanies and only one cabel (virgin media), i am on cabel btw and i must say it compleatly pisses over adsl lol

Is it true that web-pages suffer much more on a saturated line than straight download applications, because the latency goes up? Is there a way to fix this?
i go red bar alot on halo. today i got kicked out of every custom game and was black screen durring half of my first matchmaking game. it sucked. and also got kicked out of party chat twice

They may offer unlimited amount of data downloaded per month. But that's not bandwidth. Bandwidth is the amount of data transfered at any one point in time.
I didn't bother to watch half of this becasue this just isn't a topic I'm into, and not every video will be a topic for everyone, right? But i tried to watch it, at least, cuz you're awesome.

Linksys WRT54G allows you to block Block Websites. Limiting certain bandwidth, im sure theres an application out that can do that.
