  • @qerme O.C. is still releasing shit it's not all Kanye West that's out. Only thing is that the good artists aren't as good any more. I think a lot of it is how it's all recorded digitally now. All of this was analog

  • Damn man.. What happened to Hip Hop ?.. Shyt today is just sad

  • Brooklyn and Queens hip-hop are the best! I'm bumping this b4 b-ball today.

  • O.C. was interviewed in the book HOW TO RAP: The Art & Science of the Hip-Hop MC

Really good read if you're into real MCing and real Hip-Hop, they also interview Kool G Rap, Big Daddy Kane, Chuck D, Pharoahe Monch, etc.

  • @gerryg1982 yeah, I want this book !

  • @gerryg1982 thanks for mentioning that book! I've got a buddy who is trying to spit but isn't really too exposed to too much of these classy hip hop tunes. considering it would only be like 20 bucks with s/h to get it i've really got to consider. I'm sure i'd enjoy the read too.

  • @FloodPower

Word, anyone becoming an MC should definitely know who all the classic MCs are! The book definitely helps with that as well

  • the only way u can tell this is classic the way they dressed and the twin towers rocking 3:17....O.C is a ill cat

  • No hip hop from anywhere past or present has the longevity or quality as that of classic NY Hip Hop. Gets proven time and time again. Born in 1986, but still product of the 90s like most real hip hop heads. Brings back good memories.

    South Bronx

  • tha white boy giving tha chips to the homeless man is my uncle lmaoooo seriously

    Peace and Love from Germany

  • Man, when I hear this and "Time's Up", it makes me glad that I grew up in the 90s. We saw Jordan play, Mike Tyson bite off Evander Holyfield's ear, and had great hip-hop like this. I almost feel bad for kids growing up now for missing out on such a memorable era, but hey...I see comments from teens on here so obviously they still care about quality music and are actually taking time to check out some hip-hop they missed out on. That restores hope for me. Thanks O.C. for all of the great music.

  • @strictlyriddim I was born in 92 and i listen to underground Hip-Hop

  • @strictlyriddim Right on my man!

  • @strictlyriddim Well, there are the punk-ass fools that listen to Lil Wayne and Drake, but me, I listen to O.C., Big L, 2Pac, Notorious B.I.G., and all that good shit.

  • @strictlyriddim nice way to put it man! i agree with you! it's sad how this hip-pop shit is out there. but of faggots talking gibberish making rap and bullshit.

  • @strictlyriddim yeah the new shit is trash

  • @strictlyriddim "like a scar it takes time to heal" oc. is so real and deeep.

  • @strictlyriddim Damn I wish I could lived through the 90s and actually remember shit....sucks being a teen today

  • @strictlyriddim Man i'm 16 now and i wish i grew up about 15 years before i did, but i still appreciate this shit, it's timeless
