Did fans get pissed when he first said he wouldn't return because in less than 24 hours.He went from saying no to yes my guess is he thought long and hard about the fan reaction.So with a smallville convention sent for after the finale I don't blame him for changing his mind so quickly. If I were him I wouldn't want to risk facing a crowd for pissed off fans.

right now on smallville the real lex luthor is dead but one of his clones who is a young lex is rapidly aging so i think michael rosenbaum will return for the final episode of smallville when the clone finally ages into older lex

the show isnt the same without lex luthor.. lex luthor is even in the comics.. i think the show is coming to a dead end, but there struggling to continue.. no wonder 10 season is the last..

He said "we've tried to work things out" that means they are trying to FIT him in. I am sure they have been planing this whole season with getting him back in organizing. 12 episodes left. so much time still. At least we have big daddy lionel for 4 episodes. He was half of that "great Luthor feel" in the show.
