First there was Super Mario World. Then it got a sequel, Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, also called Yoshi's Island. Then it was remade for the GBA, as Super Mario Advance 3: Yoshi's Island. And then it was remade for the DS, as Yoshi's Island DS.

Bottom line is, this game was remade so many times it's not even funny. =P

What are you, 10?! No GBA game is the "old" Yoshi's Island. The GBA version is a REMAKE of a much older Super Nintendo game which was, as frankied said, "Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island". In other words, Super Mario Advance 3 is a remake of Super Mario World 2, just like Super Mario Advance 2 is a remake of Super Mario World 1, and Super Mario Advance is a remake of the shitty American version of Super Mario Bros. 2.
