  • Gulda never ceases to amaze me. What great Beethoven and Mozart specialist can write an exciting chart for big band like that and play jazz piano at that level? Only one - Gulda, the genius.

  • @paulgulda1: Ah, yes the old "how dare you express an opinion--I don't see you doing any better" line. It's an ad hominem argument and sorry, those don't fly with me. I know a lot of people mistake ad hominems for valid reasoning, but that still doesn't make it so.

The 2 mins in this video are boring. If the rest of the chart is better, great. That still doesn't change how boring the end is.

  • @ laconic:

this is an excerpt of a 20minute piece.

    the end, to be exact.

better not judge like this, unlike you can a post a better chart - of yours!

  • What a boring video. Mel's great, but this video is 2 minutes of nothing happening.

  • I would love to see a video of you "not happening" like this!

  • I think you misunderstand me. The band sounds great but the chart is boring as hell.

  • It is only a matter of that famous old Avedis Cymbal...

  • Mel Lewis is king!

  • Fantastisch! Hatte es gerade vorhin im TV gesehen, aber icht aufgenommen - schon ist es bei youtube. Merci vielmals!
