It was oil because his tires went in the middle of the road on his left side. Thats why when you ride a bike you dont ride in the middle of the road because theres where all the oil is
Probably antifreeze, stuff's slicker than oil. Nice throttle control, most people don't know how you can use both the gas and the brakes to save a sliding car.

These utilize factory bushings to retain maximum road comfort and eliminate noise and harshness.
there camber as its says is adjustable. there is a question you can ask about the Kits for your suspension. as in the forums. some found the rear end to slide too. some say you can adjust the camber for your suspension. or get a kits to help reduce this problem. but is better you read more of the other owners of the same type of vehicle you have. -----
that happens on the independant rear suspension. if its for comfort driving. when you lightly press the brakes the rear end will want to slip like that. that happened to me. but I was just over 90 mph on a mild corner. tighten up the rear end. ask to get it looked at so you can have a much tight suspension for that car. is all I can say. its one snakie ride on that corner you had. glad you made it.
@richiefrost You clearly don't understand suspension design. IRS was developed for track cars for BETTER handling and grip than solid axles. Anyway, this incident has nothing to do with suspension. To me it looks like the driver was going far too fast. He was on the limit of his grip and as he passed over the white line he lost enough grip to nearly spin out. Painted lines have almost no grip - this happens more often than you would think.
@marklandynut call it what you want. but I had over 30 cars. an I had fun in them, not matter what it was. each vehicle is its to own problems. I dont say Im the best at knowing vehicles. this guy asked an I provided what I had been through.
@richiefrost We all have different experiences. Over the years I've driven a wide range of cars covering almost all suspension systems possible, and apart from rear swing axles (which can be dangerous) I've found most IRS rear ends are better than beams or live axles. This guy is driving an Audi, who have been building high performance front drive IRS cars for years, so I don't think its the design. I think the guy just drives too fast. Look how he races away again after checking the wheel!
he passed under an overpass just before this, so i say oil+damp road+slight over steer when overtaking that car, that or the car tried to commit suicide, which is debatable hearing the music playing.
Im portuguese, i recognized the radio called orbital wich is portuguese and when he walked back into the car he said "Slick tires" in portuguese, so part of the cause are the tires for sure, some water or oil may helped.
he is not german or greek, he is portuguese, the car spin because he had slicks at the time, and he doesn't say quattro, it's just the music saying "orbital mix quatro"
I think just a touch of water got drained onto the surface from a truck, or a car's airconditioning, and like a first drizzle mixed with oil residue, made a slick surface. good save.
One word -body roll, since your car was not lowered, all of the weight was put on the left side of the car, leaving the right side of the car unweighted and slightly being pulled upward. and since you were on positive throttle it caused the rear right wheel to spin faster than the rear left wheel which made the car pull inward into the curb. I hate to say this, but this kind of thing is almost general knowledge, I am kinda surprised you would not come to this same conclusion.
dpends on the road youre on and in what country....next to that if that hapned out of nowhere chec youre tire's profile...tire tension and seeing as you drive an audi i dont know if you pushed the brakes but yourr abs could be malfunctioning or there was some oil residu idk just some thing that can couse that
Earth-roaming DEMONS trying to end your life! Listen closely to the song at 0:19 when it says "Don't worry, it's Quattro!" right after the car is saved.
At any rate, that was a great save! I thought you were going to smash a barrier for sure.
1.may have run flat tires.if it was punctured, depending on the tire, could cause loss of control especially in a curve.
2.Could be oil or other build up on the road we can't see,Since its an Audi,he may have a LP tire which doesn't hold traction as well as a standard tire.Hence why LP tires are called Show tires.
3.Dependin on road angle, can't see it here cuz of the cam.Speed w/ road angle could cause car to spin. Not sure the type of Audi,if its a RWD,the rear is easier to lose at higher speeds.
The Banana (also known as the Banana Peel) is one of the most common items in the Mario Kart series. A Banana Peel causes a kart to spin-out if the vehicle touches the slippery item. Its only purpose in life is to make the other karts spin, causing them to slow down.
he had the traction control turned off !! look at when what he does when he gets back into the car and starts to drive off, he switches the tc back on by the button on the dash.
Nice save. The reason the rear stepped out was bc of the tires going over the things between the lines while going around a curve. Both of his driver side wheels were on this line. It's happened to me in a impreza rs although I caught it before it got that far out of control.

Manji caused it.
Your aggressive initation into the corner combined with the ugliness of the white car you passed just before, caused an upset in the control arms of your steering rack. Giving you almost 75 degrees of steering angle, allowing you to manji at a relatively high speed without gripping your tires in the wrong direction.
