I hated this quest until I discovered the wondrous armor combination that gave me sharpness +1 and reckless abandon +2 to compliment my nargacuga GS (The only purple sharpness weapons before G-rank, if I recall correctly)

Tail runs.

Get full Guild Knight armor,

since it gives you carving celebrity.

Then just do a tail run.

Trap the monster. cut the tail, carve, if you dont get it abandon.

If you do, die three times so you keep it.

@AbrahamC93 up to you. white monoblos is easy. Just learn how to dodge its attacks. Memorize all its moves and dodge it but the best way for me if you're a beginner is lance or gunlance. just have the decoration guard +2.

hi there. every time i try this quest i keep dying. my most powerful armour is nargacuga with psychic jewel/ autotracker. i use true devel slicer admidst flash bombs, pitfall and shock traps. what would be the better weapon to use against tigrex? Raw, or either of its thunder or dragon weaknesses on as an attribute? what would some body reccomend i change or add?

Siegmund is a good weapon choice because it is the best raw damage great sword. It has monstrous hits, as the video displayed with a 1 shot K.O to the head when it sleeps.

Well it is by no means only do-able with siegmund. In fact, I'm sure you could do it with any weapon you wish. I used a Devil Slicer personally.

Shogun S armor will give artisan which gives sharpness+1 thats why I prefer it over soul u it also has a small amount of more base armor (about 3 more each piece I think) and I prefer sharpness over expertise and its also nice to make the attack bounus it gives to medium level which gives a good boot of around 200 if you eat the right meals.

the shogun S or rambia (the little flying lizard that spit poison) will give you sharpness +1 and it very helpful too

I have a True Devil Slicer too and it isn't working out properly like it usually does with a normal Tigrex. But this should help me except that my armor is the S series of the videos armor and I weild the titernia instead of a Seigmund. But I will make this work though somehow!

First of all, dont get armor for defence, never. Looks come before defence but the armor skills are what you want, do research, the obituary armor with evade+2 and 20ish defence per piece is better then the armor set you have. Get ceanatuer armor combo's to get skills that boost your sharpness, this will greatly increase your attack and since you use GS, just watch naijiao's tigrex charge guides

the easiest way would be to start with valkyrie blade then u[grade it to spartacus, then siegmund. it needs a rathalos ruby and a monoblos heart.

its not a glitch, its like that at urgents, the one that starts the urgent quests clears it, the other one not..

so ur friend has to start the urgent once too so he can get up too

However, the beast takes double damage if you hit it whilst it is still in berserk mode.

(You must use a flash bomb at this point).

I never could understand why anyone would fight the Tigrex with a Great Sword.

I use the gunlance. It is really easy for me. Although this mission was a bitch. I only played it once, and got the job done. It is better to keep them apart for sure. Oh, and I use the Gun Chariot with full Hermitaur armor with defense +2 and stonewall.

I was lucky, and tried to keep them apart as bet as I could, although I ended up fighting them both at the same time once or twice. I'm just really good at guarding. Also, I had the downloaded mission for Gold Rathian and Silver Rathalos, but also my friend had taken me hunting Silver Rathalos' before hand.

use greatsword. every time he flies up, stay under his shadow with your sword out, if he shoots the fireball take 4-6 steps in front of him, if he thrusts you need to be 1 second quicker, charge, hit. repeat. also shield when he screams. it will save your life.
