  • Who is the guy at 2:39? He played one of the Dads who lost a son in we are marshal

  • I think he's got a buzz on!!!LOL HE IS AWESOME

  • 4 dislikes for 4 people who still have shovels on their hands !

  • 1:12 go there and dance with him you rats XD

  • King of Scotland.

  • Everyone in that room was their for Sir Sean Connery that night. If i were Sean i'd be howling my eyes out crying.

  • it always puts a smile on my face when I watch darby o gill and the little people. I always think: "Hey, that guy is gonna be james bond, henry jones, marko ramius, jim malone, william of baskerville and so many more. And here he his in a movie with talking leprechauns." What a class act, I wish people with talent like this could live forever.

  • Phenomenal man

  • This man is a great person. I admire his accomplishments and acting skills. I also love imitating this man.

  • SEAN CONNERY IS HIGHLANDER

  • Very few people from where I come from make it big (Scotland) but this guy , holy crap. Best Bond Ever , One of the best actors ever , Biggest legend ever.

    Sean Connery you are God.

  • A True Legend.....

  • When I die, I want this man to narrate my life. Oh and the four people who disliked this video are people Bond beat the shit out of...

  • this man has more charisma in his left eyebrow than 95% of the actors today.

  • See the attached Video Response for Sean Connery's good friend over the past 5 decades, Shirley Bassey, who sings a very appropriate song for both herself and Connery, Thank-You For The Years! She then follows up with 'Diamonds Are Forever' - In 2003 when this video was recorded, Bassey was celebrating 50 years in Show Business.

  • prob. one of the best speeches given ad an award ceremony. had the pause, depth, everything.

  • Can someone add english subs ? I need them to translate ;) Thanks for help ;)

  • 3 The Dislikes are from Roger More, Pierce Brosman and Daniel Craig :P

  • @JizzMilk Daniel Craig? I think not. He is the best Bond since Sean Connery. Still that only makes him second best. I suspect the third dislike is George Lazenby, who couldn't handle the role. So he backed out of a seven year contract to do more Bond films.

  • @eros13691 i agree dude Daniel Craig got the perfect face structure to be the modern day james bond, he looks very mysterious ;)

  • @JizzMilk Who's the 4th one?

  • at 1:17 Harrison : "i love you"

    Connery: "shutup harry"

  • f*ck those who disliked this videos!

  • reply with a phrase you would like Sean Connery to say. XD

  • @FanOfMelBrooks if I had a pizza I would throw it at your face you fucking wench

  • @MaskeDemon was that directed towards me?

  • @FanOfMelBrooks - Marry Me Jenean - I can't go another day without you........LOL

  • Comment removed

  • I thought he would wear a kilt.

  • I don't think many in the audience can get to grips with the "left school at 13 thing" maybe they are too young, maybe America always had a plan for it's kids - junior high, senior high, prom , then college - in Scotland in the 1940's , it was out of the school gates ( even at that age ) & into the shipyards, and whoops, I've written down your DOB wrong on your job application., and welcome on board , wee boy. Scotland - where men drink whisky & eat nails.

  • 1:14..... how weird is THAT! :D

  • OK seriously who the fuck would dislike this.

  • @Erovian Blofeld, the Kurgan and Zardoz.

  • @Erovian

I don't know..It's beyond me...Sean Connery is such a legend...And true gentleman... Probably some little freaking punk that has no idea the meaning of class and humanity... A worthless POS in my opinion...

You look up the word "class", achievement, and gentleman, in the Dictionary, there is a picture of Mr. Connery by them

  • @Erovian Daniel Craig XD

  • @Erovian four assholes, thats who.. lol

  • @Erovian 4 horrible, soulless bastards!

  • @Erovian Dr. No

  • i think it says alot about how he views himself and his career when he did not once mention James Bond in perhaps the last of his glorious moments. I would like to think that he wants to finish his 3rd act, not as a flamboyant icon, but as an actor and a working man, one whose life is good and harbors no regret.

  • the all s´just look at him with no words!!!! ^^

  • omg was that pierce brosnan at 1:36 hes a fucking legend

  • @justinjsmall ....well SEAN CONNERY IS ON THE STAGE......Brosnan is worth nothing compared to Connery

  • @KayWildcat u got a point there but still

  • 1:14 scared me

  • @justinjsmall Haha....

  • say what you want, there'll never be another Sean Connery.

  • "Dad..."

  • he 76 right here? But he's dancing more lively than most teenagers dance.

  • Sir Sean Connery A man of Humor..we salute you Sir

    The Original james Bond 007..

  • what's the song title he's dancing along with ?

  • @kemokymo The tune he dance's along to at the start (the one on the bagpipes) is called "The Black Bear"

  • Boss

  • Dance was fantaboulus and 3 people didnt get paid enough eh?

  • Dance was fantaboulus

  • Mike Myers did a fabulous introduction - he is the man.

  • 3 people obviously don't recognize class when they see it.

    Sean Connery inspires me!

  • Amazing man. Could listen to him for hours.

  • I am exactly 50 years younger than him... and I think he is hot! and not just hot, he is elegant, polite, humble and very intelligent.

  • Ah, how I love that straightening of the jacket and tie after the dance. :)

Sir Sean Connery, I am glad to see you get recogniced in this huge way while you are still alive. The AFI are not the only ones that love your work. Thank you, so much.

  • greatest speeech of all time, remind me of my dad, specialy when he dances :p

  • The only people that disliked this video is the ones who does not understand.

  • what a fantastic point he made about books, iv underrated them to,what a great man, great speech

  • It was so hot when they played the James Bond theme for him at the end! Haha!

  • Anyone know what that pipe song is?

  • @almightyanj It's called The Black Bear

  • "I smiled through his whole speech. It made feel happy. " thank you Sean, you're untouchable.

  • He's still so ridiculously sexy.

  • @lapetiteombre as a 53 yr old, i just love that comment lol!

  • What I respect even more than Sean's undoubtedly unparalleled acting career is his remarkable respect for family. Not many of today's Hollywood-starved celebs remember their family...heck even their own mother ..especially after they've seen the greed and fame. But Sean is a true gentleman and family man in every sense of the word. Bravo, Sir Connery...for never losing sight of what matters most!

  • seans the man!..

  • Now that ladies and gentleman..is HOW U FUCKING DO AN ACCEPTANCE SPEECH...

I admire and respect you very much Mr Sean connery and you too Mr James earl jones...

I fucking hate todays hollywood...they sometimes undersestimate these older actors...

  • Surprisingly emotional speech.

  • 3 People dont deserve to live....

  • Well done Mr Connery, nobody deserved it more than you!

  • i like sean connery more than i like turtles. which is alot

  • What an amazing, heartfelt speech by an amazing man. Connery is, in every sense of the word, a true gentleman and lives that in everything he does.May God bless you even more than He already has, Mr. Connery, and my heartfelt congratulations on an outstanding career.

  • james is right! sean's voice is incredible!

  • WHAT A GREAT GUY AND A GREAT LIFE..MUCH LOVE MAN !

  • Sir Sean Connery has fuck the prom queen.

  • Manly tears....

  • The difference between James Bond and Sean Connery is that Connery doesnt have to introduce himself to any1 cus every1 knows who he is... xD great, sincere, speech!

  • I love this man! hes such an amazing actor! xxx

  • What a great guy who doesn't love Mr. Connery he's class, machismo, iconic, respectable , loyal, and above all honest that's a rare combination in any walk of life.

  • I could listen to this man talk forever.

  • @scheijen same here! can I join you? xxx

  • who dislikes this???

  • The perfect speech.

  • You mean Sir Sean Connery!

  • Sean Connery is the man!

  • 6:19 Sean Connery saying shit.

  • my childhood was lesh than hoshpishush

  • Harrison Ford hasn't aged well at all! He looks just as old as Sean Connery in this video!

  • All Chuck Norris jokes should be Sean Connery jokes.

  • still sounds awesome, even when he is not in a movie.

  • 1.13 "I still got it" XD

  • [Grunts] Sean Connery - jealous much?

  • He is a mountain

  • what a beautiful speech, and such a wonderful actor and man! Congrats Sean! You deserve it.

  • James Bond & Indy Jones Onstage....

  • Connery could still play bond! A retired bond tha tis stalked by an old enemy from his past!

  • @raymondleeleggs Cool idea! Please make it!

  • 6:12 Craig looks like a beast woot

  • No one above - no one beside - Sean Connery I salute you!

  • I always hope he'd do some cameos or something, Sean is much beloved by all movie goers. I was watching his this evening and thinking there's no replacement for Sir Sean

  • 3 people need to shovel shit uphill

  • a class act all the way!!!!

  • When he was dancing and the crowd was clapping, I WANTED TO CLAP WITH THEM<3

  • here the hell is his beard!?

  • I smiled through his whole speech. It made feel happy. I find the man to be an inspiration to me. He is a legend and one with a voice that will live on through centuries. A great and powerful man he is. Truly amazing. Forever I salute you Sir Sean Connery. You ROCK!

  • From this very moment me hearing this speech from Sir Sean Connery. Your speech has struck me in the heart. It made me emotional and very happy in the inside. I feel a strange feeling in my gut after hearing your words. I am feeling this because you are real, and a wonderful man, that did not believe it was possible, but made it and became a legend. Your speech touched my heart :) I salute you Sir Sean Connery. A legend. The voice that will live through centuries.

  • He's just one of the greatest of our time

  • Sean Connery is a legend, his films are still a joy to watch to this day and he is a true role model. Long live Sir Sean.

  • 3 people missed the like button.

  • my respekt for you Sir Sean Connery

  • Epic

  • He's just so cool I can't even describe how cool he is. Even Chuck Norris falls on his knees when he meets Sean Connery!!

  • H AHA!!! like shoveling shit uphill!

  • I love scottish bagpipes!

  • @ilivetoeat The 3rd act in many plays is the final act, hence his agent is refering to the final Act of life itself (the last stretch if you will) and he's saying that its shite.

  • anyone remember 007 1/2...Bonds Son? Who could have filled that roll....trying to live up to Sir Sean...I Mean Bond, James Connery..Hell no way to differentiate

  • Connery is still, the Man's Man. From this single clip, someone who has never heard of the legend could watch and see his strength and hear the revered silence as everyone hung on to his words. I too wanted to be James Bond growing up, but he is much more than Bond was in real life. I salute you Sir Connery. Thank you for the years that have been blessed by your presence.

  • a side of sir sean connery not seen very much. i think ,even now,he could still play james bond.

  • My only issue is that Harrison Ford intro'd him as Sean Connery and not by his proper title, Sir Sean Connery, as he should have. All the other actors addressed him as such in their rememberances.

  • @eversafe1963 I immediately thought the same...and yet, Sir Connery never made mention! True character of a Knight

  • @eversafe1963

The only person that would really matter to is Sir Sean himself. If he takes no offense, then the matter is irrelevant.

  • @eversafe1963 Americans dont recognize those titles, it's no disrespect to Sean Connery. The people that called him Sir Sean were from the commonwealth, so they are used to it. Being Scottish, I'm sure Mr. Connery doesnt mind either way.

  • Just goes to show the sexiest men still come from Scotland. Sean Connery, David Tennant...

  • Beautiful speech!

    What a great man.

  • What a BadAss

  • so moved by what he said about learning to read. powerful stuff.

  • He could go on for hours and hours and nobody would be able to take his eyes off him. what a great actor, true gentleman and legend he is...

  • I like how after Sean Connery made the "III Act shit" comment near the end of the video, the cameras showed all of the older people in the audience.

  • Utter LEGEND!!!

    btw, Dimitar Berbatov 5:47 lol

  • Very good speech. He'll never know how many of us he's inspired.

    *Don't Ever Give Up!*

  • when u walked on that stage the tears fell from my eyes i was so proud of u, being a scot myself loved ur dance ,as soon as i hear the pipes im gone luv u sean.

  • Big Sean Connery, great actor and love music!!!

  • This man is the only reason why I became obsessed with James Bond! Utter legend!!!

  • I LOVE SEAN CONNERY AND HIS ACHIEVEMENTS One of a kind, right there!

  • "Life is Good but isn't the third act shit?!!" - Hilariously funny and poignant!!!

  • I love how they play The James Bond Theme for the end of his speech.

  • What a great speech. "Isn't the 3rd act shit"? *lmao*

    An ICON

  • Happy Birthday my baby!!!

  • Bravo, Mr. Connery.

  • Sean Connery blows Chuck Norris off the face of the planet

Btw. Is that Ford's wife?? cause holy hell shes pretty

  • @UnderdogTech that's ally mcbeal aka alicia flockhart - she's skinny ...

  • i love this man as if he was one of my own grandfathers, and i'm proud to have been born on the same day as him. this was so touching. <3

  • Making movies is like a utopia, or it's like shoveling shit uphill!!!

  • The music makes this TEN times better. Outstanding choice.

  • The single most badass man on the planet. Sir Sean Connery!

Norris has nothing on this man.

  • @slyguy3129

Chuck Norris tried to karate-chop Sean once. Sean blocked it and shoved it right back up Chuck's ass...with a candle on it.

  • All hail Sean

  • He is the real James Bond

    Long Live Connery

  • Big sean fae ma home city....has a MADE IN SCOTLAND or might be FLOWER OR SCOTLAND tattoo on his forearm. A plaque in Edinburgh marks his street/birth place, the slums were pulled down long timeago. His brother lives who looks so like him still lives up the road and is always out and about. Sean made some great films part fae bond 007. The man who would be king, is fantastic.m Long live Sir sean.

  • Way to go Mike Myers great intro!!! :))

  • Wow, he looks amazing for his age!!! I hope he will be in Indy 5!

  • love the bond music at the end !

  • *Salutes* Farewell Sir. Sean Connery. May you have a long and pleasant Retirment! You will forever be remebered as one of the greatest actors in the history of movies.

  • cool, super man

  • THE BIG CLASS and smart too !

  • That's who I want to be when I'm 75!

  • Sean Connery is truly one of the best actors of all time.

  • Sean Connery is the man that other men can only dream about being. Cheers, old boy.

  • God... the man has class.

  • Hahaha, I love it how they play him off the stage with the Bond Music!

  • They dont Make Em' like That Anymore... Sean, Harrison, Made me Like Movies...

  • He is the true stuff that legends are made of. I used to think that Roger Moore was the best Bond, but that all changed when I watched Goldfinger, perhaps the best Bond movie ever. Truly the rest of the Bonds fall in his shadow that is cast long and far, and it will be some time before someone takes it a notch above, until that time, we can savor the moment that there is no better actor in the industry who can match his talent, charisma and potential for greatness. Well done Sir Sean Connery.

  • I remember watching this when it first came on tv!!!

  • I saw hunt for the red october when I was 5. He's been my favorite actor ever since. I have all of his films on my shelf.

  • He deserves it ! All of it !

    I hope I get a little it before I go !
