The Channel 4 logo animation came from a CBS image campaign -- either Reach for the Stars in '81 or Great Moments in '82. The "sparkly" effect was used for localized animations in 1981 but the background gradient matches the style of the '82 graphics.

I have a longer version of this clip where the reporter mentions that the shooting happened at Recreation Establishment Inc.

The wounded "teenager" (he was actually 20), Nevell Johnson, died the next day.
