I downloaded the newest version of blender from their site but when I add a background image for reference it never shows up. Should I download an older version of the program or does anybody know what I'm doing wrong?

It would probably just be easier to download the blender version from this video... anyone know what version it is?

at the start of this video, you select a triangle shaoe that has a line through the middile and then you deleted just the line itself, how did you do that?

mine wont link faces when I select all (A) and make a new face (F - auto). Plus, how do you add/delete as many dots as you want to shape it?

you haft to use the line select in edit mode not the node select the line select grabs and moves lines insted of the little dots to help align stuff ad the face select grabs whole squeres

@FxckFashion to add dots/lines/polys press ctrl + R and then too add more while the lines there press 1 2 3 4 or how many your want then hold alt and left click.

you can select two faces and then "join" them by making a new face with "f"

in edit mode high light a sertin part of an edge and click x to delete it at least i think so i am still learning so dont get mad if i got that wrong

If you erase an edge then it leaves a open spot how do you erase it without that?

doing that thing when you press w and then you add more dots then you can smooth textures out so hard edges do not show

Select the vertice press the delete key and select delete vertice.

Thank you man and sorry about my dumbness, i'm a begginer i know, it's just that i don't see when you use something new, like the cut, which i know already, and i'm serious, really, i can't erase a simple vertice, well what i did was use the merge tool, it works, the little dot was erased anyway

Let me tell you, i did the model, but in the last part i lose myself in the final retouches, well that is thing from every one of us

How can i do a simple erase to one line, because one of them don't allow me make a good cut, in the 0:24 i got a stupid line what i can't erase and that stupid vertice doesn't allow me make the cut like you do

At the start did you merge the vertices at center??

If you are talking about the one at 1:40 what I did was I deselected all the faces and then just selected the center vertices and deleted that. Another way to go about that is by keeping all the center faces selected and delete faces.
