Um...DUH the vaccine would have to have the virus in it. That is how you make a vaccine. You make a weakend or dead version of a virus so the body makes antibodies against it.

Vaccines are only bad ifyou have a very weak immune system. Otherwise it's safe. :/

I have never had a flu shot and never have I had the flu. I worked around people who got the flu shot then got the flu yet I still did not get the flu. There is one thing that I did not do and that was touch my eyes. I believe if you do not ever touch or rub your eyes with your dirty fingers you will never get the flu. Much easier and safer than the old Russian roulette hypodermic flu injection.

Before you freak out, learn a bit about the biology. Exposure to the dead or weakened virus causes your body to create antibodies to combat it. Your body wins against the dead/weakened virus and you then have an advantage should you encounter the actual fully-functional virus.

Isn't the h5n1 strain still only harmful to humans after living in fowl? And isn't that the point of a vaccine? To introduce to our bodies a dead/weakened virus/its nucleic acids so antibodies can be produced before it's too late?

Yes but this flu mist in not for Bird Flu and the H5N1 strain it contains is live virus and contagious. Vaccines weaken the immune system so the live virus will likely cause illness.

But it is for the h5n1 strain, if the vaccine contains it. And the h5n1 in this vaccine is not contagious, it hasn't become contagious in nature either. Vaccines do not usually weaken the immune system, as long as the immune system was not previously compromised.
