I just heard he's gonna get $25-mill for 5-years. I don't know, maybe it's just me, but I'm sick of people being paid so much money when so many of us hard-working average folks that exist on societies lower rung get so few peanuts that we can barely survive. I mean if our "system" allows a person to take ungodly sums of $ for nothing more than teaching grown men how to run up and down a field, then why not also get the cherry-seed spitters in on the nonsense so the dough can be spread around?!
@guyNbluejeans "nothing more than teaching grown men how to run up and down a field". Clearly, you have no idea what you're talkin about. Yes its alot of money and in the perfect utopia school teachers and social workers would make small fortunes, but in the real world its about your value to the entity that is paying you. The 49ers will make much more than that to have him as coach, so that it essence makes him "worth" evert penny.
harbaugh is too good to coach in Stanford, which is why he will be gone this year or next (no more Andrew Luck). that's not an insult, it's a statement of fact. Stanford didn't sell out for any game except the USC game, which was more because of traveling USC fans than Stanford fans. also, it's tough as hell to recruit when every recruit you get has to have a 3.5/1800SAT. so party now, Stanford fans, and it's back to the shithole you go in a year or two.

USC showed lack of class?? r u serious.. stanford were da ones that showed the lack of class... down by so many point and instead of just lettin da time expire to finished da game they go for it to add some points so it doesnt show in da scoreboard that they didnt get their ass kick by so much. but in reality they did.. pieces of shit..from their players to their coaches
you're right. if a team is down by 6 points with little time left, and it's 4th and 20, they should just give up. after all, they were 41 point underdogs, its not like they were going to win anyway.......
are you serious? USC just showed their lack of knowledge.
UCLA defeated USC in 2006 in one of the most classic college football games ever. That made me happy, but I have to admit that Stanford beating USC was an even greater upset. Stanford was a 41-point underdog heading into the game, TC Ostrander was injured, and Mark Bradford had lost his dad earlier in the week. And yet the Cardinals still found a way to win.
As a UCLA student, I was bummed we lost to Notre Dame on that day, but I wasn't so bummed cause Jim Harbaugh, who used to play for the Colts when I lived in Indianapolis, defeated the USC Trojans as a coach!
MAN! After Karl Dorrell got fired, I wanted our Bruins to get Jim Harbaugh as coach. Still, I'm sure Rick Neuheisel can turn our team around.

USC showed their lack of class, and that starts with the coaches, after the game when they didn't shake hands with the Cardinal players.
