You must be doing something wrong as I've never had any problems saving my songs. I don't have the program in front of me but I assume you are selecting to save the song from the file menu, typing a song name and pressing save or enter (can't remember which).

I am having trouble saving my work for some reason , when i tryto save a block or a song its not there later
