Maybe, but the M4 has a straight line fire. That means the recoil goes straight back into the shoulder and the gun doesn't go up or down except by user error. Much of the recoil is absorb by the gas power reload system therefore it's very difficult to get hurt. A 5 year old could use it. In fact, my 5 year old niece has a pink Hello Kitty modified M4 and fires with her mom and dad.

@skudaarkaat1 Its mostly because of posture and incorrectly holding the weapon. My 8mm Mauser doesnt kick much for me but have my sister shoot it and its like an elephant gun. Given, the gun kicks like a mule... but its all about how to shoot it. Lean into the shot, 80% weight on forward foot, 20% on rear.
I've shot a 9mm Beretta Pistol, 22, and a 45 Magnum at the shooting range, my favorite would be the 9M. I would luv to get to try out something like this lol

M4 is a military issue rifle, an AR-15 is the civilian version of the same gun.
They are exactly the same except AR15s are semi auto only and M4s are capable of full auto.

Most M4s are not capable of full auto. Most fire Single Shot and Three Round Burst.

@Treknobabble Burst is full auto by legal definition. Besides, the burst kit can easily be removed and replaced with full auto parts and vice versa.

Ok, you are terribly wrong. Military M4s all shoot full auto, some dont use 3rnd burst, but they ALL shoot full auto. its standard for military.
a civilian version of an m4 (an AR-15) shoots ONLY semi automatic. unless u converted it, (wich is illegal)

@Shinigamiking846 Right one the money but dont forget it not even configure in the set up as a M-4.. its a mid length barrel with mid length handguards the m-4's are very short this guy is just a dumb ass!!!! He'll be one of the guys that needs up shooting him self while cleaning it
