I am so glad that dance and music is back in the Afghan peoples life.

I´m from Iran and my childhood momories from Mashhad is with a Afghan girl who´s parents were docters and had left Afghanistan because of Showravi.

I have read a lot about Afganistan and I hope that Aghan people, Hazar, Pashtu, Ozback and Tadjik leave forget each other for all bad things they have done in the past and live together as AFGHAN.

This song is a VERRRRY OLLLLD folk song called sammi.

sammi meri vaar, me vaari, me vaariyaa di sammiyey.

Its panjabi but ive only heard it being played once in punjab but they sing it alot in muzaffarabad (kashmir).

let me correct it. sammi mayri vaar , man vari , man varia tay sadiqay. sammi is also a kind of atan performed in kashmir mostly by sadozai tribes ,in potohar by afghan immegrant. though their spoken language got changed but still they stick to few cultural events

Dialect in pakistan changes with every 30-50 miles!

khattak's are living at the border of punjab and some westren district of punjab. they love dancing, they have adopted the styles of their neibours in addition to traditional khattak dance. in attock, mianwali sammi is called ludi even it is famous in baluch's you tube have one video from balakot. so we must thaks Gd some thing is common

Hi..hope all are fine..i have seen this video just now and i can gurantee that this is khattak dance and wedding...i am really surprised to see stupid comments like this is hazara dance, this is pindi dance etc etc. Just look at the heading of "Khattak Dance" so if u want to know it is khattak dance or not, the best thing is to ask a khattak. I am khattak, i am from peshawar and i have been seen such dances and wedding since being a child...now hope it is understood...sorry if i offend anyone

khattak and Awan's have almost same culture, while living side by side for centuries. basically this is Awan luddi but famous in khattak's of attock kohat and karak. the tune is punjabi song
