No, not really. The only way that they could go by themselves is by timecode. Which the band is probably using for click tracks. This might be true for this song. But not for the whole concert. But they still have to have someone to hit play on the Hog. So.. If this is the east band i am surprised that happened because Byran Hartley is usually the one running it. (He designed the concert)
I don't know how old the Trans-Siberian Orchestra is, but god damnit they know how to put on a fucking show.
I was at their show in Hartford last Christmas - the light displays, the pyrotechnics, the epic music - it was too much. A guy had an epileptic seizure.
They are basically an offshoot of an amazing band called Savatage that formed all the way back in 1979. Jon Olivia met producer Paul O' Neil and Robert Kinkel in and around 1989 when the band did Streets A rock opera. TSO came from an instrumental song that just happened to be Christmas orientated (it was about a battle that happened on Christmas Eve) from Savatage's excellent Dead Winter Dead album. That tune was re-released as TSO and the rest is history! They were a non-Christmas band.
i saw the show last night too

Yeah ... but it was actually kind of cool =)
If all the lights were off for the first four beats, then suddenly came on when they start singing... hmm...

@bwguidry
They planned for that to happen. I have been to two concerts in this tour and the lights came on at that same time in the video.
