omg... i wrote so much. and then i clicked wrong. :( i'm starting to get depressed.. this day has been a shit day. really. Anyway.. like many other I've also have a hard time falling asleep, even when i'm tired! haha. And wake up really easily, although I'm still very tired, but it's the action: to get out of the bed that is the main problem.. I could, like, lay in the bed, awake, for 2 hours before I have motivation to go up. And, people nags att me, and I feel like a retard, cus it's so hard.
THIS IS TOTALLY ME!!!!!!!! I am going for testing next week. I already know I am Add/adhd. I am SUPER EXCITED about finally getting some treatment. I have an excellent doctor that I am going to see who specializes in Adult adhd. Is it normal to feel excited about starting this process?
I agree 100% , i have just had a 3 month straight bad episode loseing a job trying sleeping tablets , which i do not recommend as being ADHD its easy to do all or nothing syndrome which i suffer with , i lost nearly a month being a hermit up all night then sleeping by day , But guess what i feel normal again , ready to take on life again , i have had 4 hours sleep i guess over the past few days , and still feel ok , but i know the crash is coming , and i will sleep :-)
I have found that a combination of light therapy (with a blue light) and dark therapy (using amber glasses) provides much improvement in this area. It is more practical to alleviate, rather than merely accommodate, one's symptoms.
Wow, it took me this damned long to get a clue. Thanks for really sharing. I have actually looked for something to help me focus for a while now. I feel better now for some reason. I too am a night owl and I even listen to instrumental music while reading and researching on my Mac. Is that sick or what?
Thanks, I am ADHD. Am trying strattera. I work afternoon shift, finishing at aboutt mdnight.
You are very helpful, thanks!
I can relate to your comments on transitioning too, i struggle with that a bit. I think we need a job where we work in bursts and are our own bosses in terms of we have no one standing over us.
Funny. I sloth around the house until about 4:30 -5:00pm. That's when I start to get my burst of energy. Also , I can drink Pepsi all day and wake up in the middle of the night and drink it and go right back to sleep.
I'm definitely a night owl and have problems in the morning... Haven't been diagnosed yet, but the more research I do, the more I think I have ADD... I had to rewind the video 2 times to hear what you were saying because I kept looking at the dog, snoozing on the couch...
I used to be a night owl. Getting up for school was torture, besides the real torture I endured in school. But as of the last year I noticed I'm less depressed when I get up with the sun, I feel so much better. But the problem with that is I have the sleep issues you talked about in your other video. I dread having plans to do too late in the evening when everyone is available because it screws up my sleeping schedule for weeks.
