I bought a 1gb 2nd gen off my brother for £5. I'm using it as a second/spare iPod. I obviously couldn't fit my whole library onto it, so I checked a box in iTunes that coverted all the tracks on the shuffle to 128kps, I was reluctent at first, as I like to have great sound quality, but after reading that most audiophiles couldn't tell much difference between 128 and 320 kps. Instead of getting 108 songs onto it I got an amazing 159 onto it. Nowhere near my whole library, but a great improvement.
GET A IPOD NANO 5g 16gb or a ipod touch 3g 64gb cuz they PWN this that thing has no games and no SCREEN and no controls. (i own both the nano 5g 16gb and the touch 3g 64gb)
lol - go for which ever colour you prefer. both are exactly identical for features, the only difference being colour. i would personally go for silver as scratches wouldnt show up that easily.
would someone tell me if the ipod shuffle 3rd gen's usb will work on the 2nd gen's one.. cos my my 2nd gen is not responing to it and im not sure, if it is broken or not
wow, before i accutually got this, i didnt realize how small it is, but when i got it. i was AMAZED on how small it is. Apple gets a thumbs up on that :)
I think it's too small, or atleast, it should be big enough to retain the contros on the device. I'm not sure which one to buy, so someone who owns BOTH generations, 2 and 3, please message me with some help (I will use it while jogging if that helps). Thanks.
you have to press 6 times to go to the previous song?? and i can't use it with my koss porta pro?? i'm very glad that i have a sansa clip.... what a waste of money...
and no, i am not a hater, i understand that this kind of product is for average's consumers who don't care about audio quality or features... but... this is too much crapy
No it's fine. Your english is actually pretty good. Alot of idiots that were raised speaking english make sentences ages worse than yours. Your english is fine, what I've observed is alot of people who say "sorry I don't speak english" or things along those lines actually have pretty decent english for a non-englishspeaking person.
wow apple killed it.. the 3g with no buttons killed it!! u cant even change songs, AND you are forces to use those terrible white ear shits, i use my beautiful radius atmoic bass that really work to say the least...
for working out I like the older shuffles better. When running it seems that trying to skip a song on the 3G shuffle there is a change you will yank the right earphone out of your ear.
i bought the ipod shuffle 2nd generation in blue yesterday and i prefer it over the 3rd generation because if you lose the head phones you are screwed
haha .. ill buy the 3rd gen 4days ago.. but i was not very happy for all thos disadvantages .. then go to the beach and put my ipod in my pants and later i go to sea (stupid !!).. the ipod was screwed. But today ill go to wal-mart an changed for a 2nd gen blue ipod. :) they didnt ask anything im lucky haha..
ive gone back to my 2G as the clip on my 3G is not as flexible. Also i can use my sony noise canceling headphones which makes a big difference when on the train.
Thanks a ton my friend. I've been debating on which to get to compliment my iphone (the battery life is terrible when you actually use it as an ipod). I like the look of the 3g, but the 2g is much more realistic as I can use my own headphones.
I just got the 2GB one, its 20 euros less, and can fit 500 songs. Arent 500 songs enough? Some people like to overact about memory, but dont use it. Anyway, Im in luv with it, I can clip it on my trousers and not feel it :D
Cheers for accepting my invite - I hope you enjoy it. Still got mixed views on it - I used to see the shuffle as a 'low cost' unit and thus did not expect it to do the above and beyond. However, not that they've INCREASED the price - they are no longer working in a 'low cost' area. I would rather spend a few more quid and get a 3rd gen nano - which is priced for roughly the same price. Its difficult to pin-point whats wrong with this product, got mixed views on it.
this used to be the cheapest ipod....ok...it still is, but rather than get this, you could get a nano, which i said in my video.lol. i really wanted to get a shuffle, but i could just get the 2nd gen shuffle or a nano.lol. no point !
Great Video, I came across a site that helps get your videos exposed. They helped 5 of my videos get ranked on the first page. If you need any help check them out at tubeviews.(net)
I see that you just recently purchased a 2g iPod shuffle too. What do you plan on doing with it now that you have the new 3g one? Wouldn't its use be a bit redundant?
Good vid - just wanted to point out that you can actually use third party headphones, although you can't control playback or volume, which isn't great but at least its better than nothing I suppose. After inserting the third party headphones you just need to turn the shuffle off then on and the music should start playing,
i got a ipod touch 4g and a 2g model a blue one Its great!

You press 3 times, and you can do that in less than half a second unless you're disabled or something.. no offense.
