@TwoPK You would need a transformer (available at Toolstop). The 110 volt version is specifically made for construction sites in the UK who will only allow 110 volts.
Guess I'm a bit too spoiled to truly appreciate this Dewalt radio. My workshop music is provided by a Yamaha PianoCraft E320 Compact Stereo with NX-E700 speakers and YST-FSW050 subwoofer. With nearly 3000 192kbps MP3 files (my selected favorites) on a single 32GB flash drive attached to the USB port, this system will rock the building, drown out my loudest power tool, and sound darn good while doing so.
@MrToolstop > '.. But will it survive a 2 metre drop? ..'
LOL. Okay, you have me there. I won't be subjecting my Yamaha to a 2 metre drop just to find out. Flash drive (pen drive) might survive, but doubt little else will.
Actually, I like the DeWALT (especially DC012 to charge Li-Ion batteries) for an outdoor jobsite. Lack of USB port for flash drive only thing dissuading me from buying. Now just use radio on cheap boombox.
@stewartx5 The new Bosch Powerbox actually has a media bay which is capable of taking USB pens, ipods and SD cards, maybe thats what you need....and you can drop it down stairs if you want and it will still work!!
@MrToolstop When the Bosch charges DeWalt batteries, I might (just might) consider it. Living in Germany, I've owned a lot (wish I could underline "a lot") of Bosch tools and am not overly impressed (neither bad nor great - same as DeWalt). The only Bosch tool still owned is the Colt router, which may be replaced with another brand when it finally wears out (not used much).
I have bought one of these in 1110Vaults, does this mean i cannot charge it from the mains in the Uk?

Can you have it not plugged in, but play off the battery?

@epohnopulse Yes, this will run off the battery.

A cd case but no cd player... practical fail
ChildrenOfJackass 1 year ago
@ChildrenOfJackass The CD case is actually a case to hold a personal CD player if you still have one of those to connect to the radio

Its not that loud

@tbob404 Depends what you're comparing it to but we had it outside and it seemed pretty loud to us, even from a fair distance away.

@tbob404 For it's size, yes it's loud. I am a manager at a club in Philadelphia, and this thing pumps out loud sound for its size.
