  • Its hard to fly a seaking, compared to any other hele. Its like flying a vrick with concreat on it. This i know from exsperence. The rudder shakes, the seat is not at all comftible, but the manovers seakings can do is amazeing.

  • I saw all this from my living room window.. i like like just up the hill from were it all happend..

  • the modern day picture of the RAF, how can you not support these lads when they give so much?

  • Glad i didnt get flooded live near london. 40 minute drive but i live on a hill. But all near by rivers 15 minutes and towns are bust.

  • Good job boys.

  • im wet cold a pissed off so why havent i been saved!

  • were all gonna die!!!, is this because of global warming? or mother nature saying "there are too many of you"

  • Long live the RAF! I love those yellow sea kings!

  • wuz u rescued?

  • i live in woodseats am was working at the time. although coz of the rain it was boring and saw all this on the news. in some way so many bloody hills and living up one can be helpful although the rest of the place was done to shit. when i saw the choppers on the news i could not believe me eyes.

  • that is one insanely good hover. grats to the brit pilot!

  • Hi I'm a civillian worker at RAF Boulmer, not sure if these were our boys as there were other 202 helicopters involved in the rescue, but I do know the crew from Boulmer worked tirelessly airlifting people to safety in these floods and I'm privileged to know them .... great job but just one of many they carry out on a daily basis.

  • I wish'd Fulwood flooded would be a change........... And i'd be oright because i live on a hill =D,

  • I didn't know it was that bad! hope everyone's OK.

  • i live in sheffield, talk about cost to the council lol, peoples houses, shop and cars, all damaged....they carnt say they dint have a clue it was guna happen, cause it happend a couple of days before but no where near as bad.

  • I heard that the met office was aware a week before that something bad was on the way, obviously thier communication has let so many people down

  • Great video, i saw the pics on Calandar and Look North of the rescue.

  • These flew over my Village (Campsall, near Askern, North Doncaster). I wondered what they were up to.

Hope you guys all get sorted soon, it's not as bad over here.

  • I live on the other side of sheff and only saw all this on the news, all it did was rain a bit for me. Makes me thankful i live on a hill!

  • I left sheffield about week and half ago, just in time by the look of things

  • IT'S LIKE WATCHING A DISASTER MOVIE. WAS BORN IN SHEFFIELD LIVED IN THE AREA UNTIL 1988 THEN MOVED DOWN SOUTH, NEVER SEEN SHEFFIELD FLOODED LIKE THIS. I THINK A LOT OF THE PROBLEM IS THAT THER'E BUILDING TOO MANY HOUSES, THE DRAINAGE CAN'T COPE. THEY HAVE JUST BUILT SOME TRENDY HOUSES NEAR A RIVER NEAR US. "ITS JUST A MATTER OF TIME" Hope you guys up there get back on your feet soon, though they have forecast more rain towards theweekend. ALL THE BEST FOR YOU ALL!!

  • In answer to your questions this was filmed from Coode House on the Riverside development (although technically we were in the river last night rather than beside it) looking East down the Don Valley towards Meadowhall.

The person appears to have been winched from one of the factory buildings between Nursery Street and the Wicker Arches - the whole area was flooded, so I suspect they were stranded.

  • jesus, i watch all this on Sky news! its amazing what rain can do!

  • were this filmed frm the royal mail building

  • its not over for us yet, catcliffe, brinsworth and part of the m1 are in the path of a dam that has been labled as unstable. If it rains any more which it is forcast to do, then those area's will get flooded too.

Check my vids out, we got flooded on our ground floor and i have got some great footage of Lady's Bridge and the River Don as well as Nursery Street and the Wicker. Scary times!!

  • I It rinas like that agin and the dam bursts more than two people are gonna die.

  • how many more floods will there be after this, they say its global warming

  • it's really sad.

  • Great vid. Where was u filming from?

  • Its near nursery street :)

  • fascinating, but scary 2 watch

    thanks
