I hated this movie it was as if the only reason for coming to Earth was just to kill us off and make us suffer in the process by destroying our way of life! Instead of a quick death Klatu so-called solution is to provide us a slow death by destroying our technology our only tool we have to improve the situation we've endured! For an advanced race Klatu could have given us the means and time to leave the planet and settle the rest of the solar system leaving Earth as a national park! he's evil!

i agree with ALMOST everything you said in this review, even though i get the impression that i hated this film alot more than you. the only thing i disagree with is that you said gort looked good, i thought (as with most CGI) he looked AWFUL, like a big cartoon character, but overall i pretty much hate most CGI. good review.

i haven't seen the original, but i can tell this one is different from its original version. I love remakes even they're not the same as the original versions. I mean it makes us look the plot on a different way... :) i'm inspired. haha

oh well, i'll watch the first one and this one and i'll love both i know it :P lol

well, there's one out now called Nothing Like the Holidays....but if I were you...I'll save my money to see Benjamin Button, The Wrestler, Frost/Nixon, and Revolutionary Road...I know they're not Christmas-y...but they're all coming out the 25th in wide release :)

It sucked, sucked, sucked. The Phrase "Klattu Baradda Nicto." was a must and they dropped the ball. Let's remake Star Wars and forget the line "May The Force Be With You."

I just saw it today. It was very good. It kept me on the edge of my seat; very intense. The only thing I was disappointed with was the ending but still overall is was well worth seeing. If you like intensity buildup and cool special effects, youll enjoy this movie. Its not all action, but it still moves along well and the intensity and suspense keeps your eyes glued to the screen. I am even considering seeing it again next week.
