I do wonder, how can Forza fans be so blatant idiotic, claiming that forza has more accurate track details, cars and such, when it clearly cannot be compared with GT5 at all, they believe in Turn10, we believe in our eyes, while iRacing guys believe Forums only, geesh. After I've played Forza 4 alot, I couldnt ever say it looks better than GT5, because it just doesnt.

I have to say... I've had PS and PS2, Gran Turismo 1, 3 and 4... and started to dislike the series from the last one. Now, I have a Xbox 360 and I love Forza Motorsport series, and I'm still disliking GT series...

But, I have to say... This GT5 looks really awesome. Congratulations PS3 owners, you have, by far, the best racing simulator of this generation :)

GT5 is so smooth they had to add a camera shake effect to this video. Why can't they model the tracks bumpy like they are in real life. With all the money they have in this game you'd think they'd be able to laser scan tracks like iRacing

yes you're right the cars in GT move at same speed as in reallife , but because GT feels very static and stiff and you don't sit in the car + GT don't uses any other effects to constitute the speed it makes it feel slow compared to other sim-racers.

That's the problem with other sim, too. They often increase the sense of speed and let everyone know it's accurate. I was driving my 370z down the highway at 120, and it feels like I'm only doing 40 or 50 at the country side.

It´s a good looking game, but comparing it to real life is not smart imo, it looks a cartoon drawing.

It will take a very long time until the lighting/shadows and stuff look photorealistic.

I, though, am looking extremly forward to this and hate that it´s been delayed :(

It's just about showing how game can match driver movements and positioning from cabin during drive. Not about graphics, sound or any other crap. It could even be only models for me, no textures included, because that's not the point here...

What's the release date? Q3 2010 or so? So why would anyone care what level of graphics/detail it shows now (even if we forget, it's not about showing graphics).

@MrEvilCooky I understand what you're saying about it looking better if it was less "clean". It's Turismo though and I think they're trying to make every visual effect perfect. That doesn't always translate into realism. But I'm sure if Polyphony wanted it to look less "clean", they would feel that it needs to look picture perfect and not like a game. Honestly I don't think that can be done yet. Or they'd take 10 years instead of 5 trying to pull it off
