If this correlation still holds, the next decade will bring us back to the little ice age and cause severe shortage of food and fuel. The first signs of this severe cooling are now starting to emerge.

Maybe we should worry about runaway cooling in southern hemisphere also as we worry about global warming in the northern hemisphere.
Strand, what you were hearing regarding Antartica was the refreezing of record breaking melting. It was refreezing at a record pace because it was winter in antartica, and way too much of it melted in summer. There was not a complete refreezing, but since so much had melted, more was refreezing. Right now the Arctic is refreezing while Antartica melts off even more than it did down there last year. It won't all refreeze and each year it will ge worse.
