How come all of the other nations taxpayers are'nt welcoming poor Canadians to get on their feet? Who ever said Canada, or any nation OWES anything to any newcomer? My parents came to Canada broke in 1960 before any "professional victim" whiner, govt help programs were ever even started and we all live very well today because of good education and our hard work. Once arriving on a foreign shore, work hard, learn the language and remember that you owe a lot to your adopted country.

Read my paragraph again it'll explain it as I see it bluntly. I do'nt think Canada has to "hard sell" that much anyway. If there's a problem he's encountered do the work to rectify it. If he's a 20 year surgeon who studied in Edinburgh for Godsakes what's the real problem. This brings out rightist leanings in me. It's like an incremental creeping victim mentality that only grows larger and more expensive exponentially in my opinion.
