@gnysko there is no software. the movies are recorded directly by the emulator itself. not every emulator has this feature built-in but in this case final burn alpha does.

These would make interesting optional rules for D&D. All hero melee attacks automatically hit without rolling. All hero attacks are whirlwind without the feat. All monsters being hit in melee cannot attack until next round. All characters get up to 4 attacks per round at no penalty to attack rolls. I'll have to suggest some of these at our next game night ROFL

3. If the answer to 1 is high (pre-epic), and the answer to 2 is low (enough), don't you think the bad-assery makes sense? Not to mention the assistance by "tool".

4. I don't know about 4e, but an outright super-cheese should be able to perform (theoretically) even better than FINAL without optional rules, e.g. Pun-Pun.

He's taking out the boss before the animation of the bar has finished. The animation of the bar in this speedrun is a limitation, but only visually. Even if he's killed the boss, the bar doesn't keep up. It's as simple as that.

No I didnt use macros.

All combos are possible, but W/O tool assistence you will lose a few frames (especially after hitting 2x jump)

TAS= Re-recording+Slow Speed will allow you to play the game frame-by-frame.

Right after a running-hit you have to fade away (2x jump) run any direction and make it again, works with poison daggers also.

Maybe not impossible but you'd have to have insane fingers and coordination to pull it off probably. Another good thing to keep in mind is that these are ARCADE games, which are edsigned to make money and be very hard to complete without losing so that you can shell out some more quarters.

Player 2 and player 3 join the game because in order to do the 'retributive strike' you need three players at the same time: the 'retributive strike' is an special D&D move where the wizard breaks his staff (and player 2 and player 3 do an special movement or something similar) and then their hit points lower to 1; at the same time the wizard cast the most poweful spell on the game :).

I think it's a special move you can do if you have 3 people present in the game, if you notice all character's gave some type of battlecry while all those elements appeared so its gotta be a super duper special, major slaughter!

I think it's called final strike. according to some FAQs lying around, you have to have a combined XP total of 1 mil, and have at least 3 players. then all three players have to hit attack jump and item buttons at the same. supposedly, it's only useful against the last boss.
