The reason Catholics have statutes is that a long time ago before the invention of photography, the faithful masses wanted to remember holy people who had a special relationship with Christ Our Lord. One way to remember them was through iconic paintings & statutes. Catholics, in spite of what Protestants have said, DO NOT WORSHIP STATUTES or PAINTINGS. Nowhere in Catholic Catechesis is there any instruction to "worship" a "bullshit pagan statute". Saints are special Bcuz they intercede 4 us!

St Paul sez: Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be answerable for the body and blood of the Lord. 1 Cor. 11:27 We also find instances where God promised to make His dwelling among us: Exo. 25:8 Such a passage is prophetic of today's Church in which we find the Sacred Tabernacle in which dwells the Real Presence of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist. @seaneire U are correct, I wrote Paul instead of Peter, simple mistake, probably because I had been studying ACTS. U can resort to name calling (not me, but Catholicism) but it doesn't change the fact that Catholicism has been around since Jesus broke bread with 12 men. Men have distorted God's word since Adam & Eve, this includes Catholics, but it doesn't change facts. Pray AND read the bible, besides, why are U here on this webpage? very true :) I read that a great way to develop humility is through obedience.. that is one thing that devil can not do. For this reason, it's a really good idea to have a spiritual director and be obedient to his guidance :)

@moralsupporter Satan has billions of demons under him firstly, and secondly as an angelic being without a body he cannot be confined to a space(i.e. a single room). Thus, when we have a demonic possession taking place in a room, priests say that the demon is acting in that room but he cannot be restricted to that space. His influence can thus go onto many souls (who have finite human bodies) or be at many places at the same time =)

Another fact to encourage us to pray the rosary: Sister Lucia (the seer at Fatima) said that God has chosen especially to enrich the rosary with many graces that make it a particularly efficacious and powerful prayer for the faithful in modern times. Problems with families, worldliness and temptations against purity are thus all included.

@yankeesuperstar The average person takes about 20 minutes to pray 5 decades of the rosary. I take about 30 minutes though. If you are not used to praying it, start with one decade and then increase. Our Lady of Fatima specifically requested that we pray at least 5 decades a day, and the various Popes have attached so many indulgences and graces to its prayer. Sister Lucy, seer of Fatima: "There is no problem that the holy rosary can't solve."
