@airsoftbunker its simple at the end of the tube there is en smal pin in the middle you simply drop the granade on there en it goes off (you have to use a airsoft M203 granade that you can buy at every airsoft store/site)

@525halo thats a normal Airsoft M203 Grenade.. ne electrical tape involved...

(basicly ist a 40MM pvc pipe wit a plug on the end with a pin in the middle where jou drop the genade on)

whats the range on this? I've been thinking about making a 40mm mortar, but I'm concerned about the range of the m203 grenades. Will I be hitting friendlies just ahead of me with this?

No it only fires the BB's the genade stays in the barrel..

its simple on the bottom off the barrel is an spal pin when yo drop the grenade in it triggers the Grenade macanisem and releases the gas in the grenade so the BB's shoot out. (what a 40MM airsoft grenade is .... its de airsoft version of a 40MM M203 Grenade yust typ it in to the search bar of youtube:P)
