I would want to acquire a machinery of that sort someone puo to help me?

  • no the dubplate is an exclusive cut.only you have that press, normally they go to general release if the owner wants it to but dubs are strickly onetime press for that particular sound clash..

  • so dubplate is the source of all dub vinyl?

  • I spent hundreds of pounds on this shit and many trips back and fourth to london just to attend cuts......DUBPLATE PRESSHA!!!!!!

  • @LUKUS909

Can you mix with a Dub Plate like you do with vinyl? Can you cue it back and forth and all that?

  • Yes - i can mix a dub like vinyl -- because its LIKE vinyl.

And yes -- i could cue it back and forth and all that -- but it disintergrates real quick.

    Does this answer ur questions????

  • @Kidman848 - a dubplate (aka an acetate) is a record, and can be spun just like vinyl. As a matter of fact, making an acetate is the first step of pressing a vinyl record. Every vinyl record comes from an acetate mother.. They use the mother to make the molds - aka stampers.

You just have to be careful with acetates.. Their surface is laquer and not vinyl. Although you can scratch, crab, back cue, etc, you will destroy it quickly. The laquer chips and wears quickly

  • where do u cut? im from london and i cut 10" for £25 cheap!!

  • @mandeepsekhon hey mate, where abouts in London you get them cut....I've checked everywhere and i'dneed to probably sell my decks to get some cut!

  • @skeenio1 a 10" dubplate costs about £40, so quite a bit but don't go shottin your turntables!

theres a couple places in central and the east end and a few in south. Go to a record shop like BM Soho and ask the clerk for a good place, it depends whether you want mastering/mixdown as well because some engineers are better than others

  • how utterly incredible...

  • Is that a standard Neumann lathe or does it has the motor been upgraded to the Technics SP-02?

What kind of cutting heads do you use?

  • someone likes vinyl cutting to much.

  • @xiVi3NAC3 : No such thing as too much.

  • what on earth does this thing do ? o_O

  • Makes the master vinyl for vinyl production or can be used to make one of vinyls called "Dubplates"

  • mate id semen everywhere if i had one of them!
